"[Member Name Removed] ‘s review is inaccurate: the cost of the work was not $4000 as he indicated, it was $1378 for his kitchen and family room, and Mr. G and his wife were very happy with this work, though he states in his review that “it was terrible.” The issue became the garage ceiling work that I repaired and repainted, at a cost $617. This garage ceiling had cracks along the taped joints, which needed removal and repair, sanding and painting, which I did. Mr. G was happy with my work when I left. Many months later, he said the tape that I had repaired had cracked again. I determined that the attic space above the garage ceiling had been used by Mr. G as a storage space, where he had put down plywood, to walk on top of the garage ceiling beams, which were too small to carry a person’s weight, along with his storage items. When he walked in the attic, these beams moved, causing the tape in the garage ceiling to crack again. I explained this to Mr. G that his walking in the attic space above the garage ceiling will cause this problem to re-occur and that there was nothing wrong with the workmanship of the my prior work. I cannot guarantee that taping and compounding joints in a ceiling will not crack and fail again, if the ceiling is walked on from above. Mr. G then became angry, and threatened to sue me over the ceiling job I did for $617. Also, Mr. G states I lied to him regarding the quality of the paint that I used on his garage ceiling. But the written and signed proposal we had states that a Benjamin Moore flat white ceiling paint would be used, and that is precisely what I used. In my experience, Benjamin Moore paints are high quality paints. JK Evans Painting Trumbull, CT"
