Flat Roof Doctor

I called in 3 roofers to get an estimate on the  repair on my roof. I had 2 tears in the flat roof on my home.  The Flat Roof Doctor (FRD)estimate was in the middle but they offered more than the others. They were recovering the roof with a heat sealed rubberized membrane. The others were going to repair the rips and cover the protruding nails. 
FRD came in at the time stated and were completely done in 5 hours. I have done professional house inspections for insurance companies and the work they did was professional and shows the experience that they have. I would recommend them and use them again.

they started early this morning and it is now 5 o'clock and they are still here.  the head of the company stopped by several times today to check on the work.

I'm not sure even where to begin, other than to say I am shocked this man can stay in business in a customer facing role.  Every interaction by phone and in person was negative - his attitude, his comments, his tone.  I just hung up with him and as I write this I'm in tears.  All I did was call to get clarification on what other roofers have advised, since I'm looking at about $1000 to replace flashing and patch the ceiling - all proposals were consistent, by the way - and he said he doesn't care what other roofers say, I am not allowing him to talk, etc.  If he actually responds to this review, I'm sure he'll say these things about me and probably worse; but I am about the most unthreatening person you'll ever meet.  I was trying to explain what I was told so he'd understand my question/concern and could respond appropriately, and he wanted no part of it.  He said at one point, "I'm going to give you one last explanation and that's it" - like, "this is your last chance..." in a condescending tone, as if I am a child.   

Aside from fixing the immediate problem, the experience with this vendor was terrible.  The owner is arrogant, condescending, and rude.  I told him so today as I finally couldn't take it anymore and had to end the call.  I manage a team of financial professionals and if they EVER spoke to one of our clients like this they would be out the door!  I am simply speechless.

The Flat Roof Company was super in their contracting, with the labor, and the day to day work ethic.   The roof got done in time before the hurricane.  The owner was very accommodating, prompt, and made the whole job easy.  His crew was courteous, cleaned up after themselves, and minded the dog. 

Eduard was a pleasure to work with - punctual and professional. The workers worked non-stop to get the job done, even past dark. The only issues was that they went a bit over the estimate, but that was because they uncovered some additional problems so might not have been their fault. Would definitely use them again for any roof, flat or otherwise.
