I contacted First Step because of the generally positive reviews from Angie's List. I have a concrete brick, paved sidewalk that have been installed 15 years ago, and was in need of a thorough cleaning.
Luis Casteneda (owner) responded quickly and was punctual for the and quot;estimateand quot; meeting. He suggested that the sidewalk should be sealed, after it was cleaned, which I had not considered. I found him to be very professional.
A worker and supervisor showed up at the scheduled time and did a good and thorough job cleaning the sidewalk, then applied the sealer the following day.
I was VERY pleased with the results and the general experience with First Step.

"This was a one time service we provided based on an estimate. An Estimate -(Roughly calculate or judge the value, number, quantity, or extent of) was given and as the work was in progress the customer decided to do additional work making the estimate higher. After the work was done the customer was very pleased with the work and took over 6 months to pay and after avoiding us we were forced to take legal action."

I like him very much. They come regularly. The price is not consistent every month and it depends on what we do. They do a lot of things here.

My first experience with First Step was to have them clean a yard that had been a year without any work. I was not around when the work was done but it must have take a day and the yard was totally transformed. Tall grass and weeds were cut down, bushes trimmed, fall leaves removed. Since the job was completely, I have used First Step for my lawn service. They are reliable and work hard, the yard is always well kept. Since then I have begun to use them for a rental home as well.

I chose First Step from Angie's List and was very pleased with the experience. Luis was punctual for his appointment to give me an estimate, he listened to my needs and what I wanted done. I thought the price fair for the large amount of work and the size of the crew needed to complete the job in a day. I was unable to go to the house until a week after the scheduled work was completed and I was thrilled at the transformation. Everything was done exactly as I asked.

Signed contract for price of snow removal. Actual invoices 2-3 times in excess of contrac ted rate. Contract called for snow removal at 3" or more. Crew came for every storm 1/2", etc. Charged for salting prior to plowing and after plowing. Totally unprofessional.

I just came home, was so impressed I called Luis to let him know how pleased I am. Then sat down and decided others should know what a great job they did. I believe that Luis is the owner. They are very good. They are very punctual and honest. They are very thorough and they follow through all the time. They always call me right back. They are very customer oriented. They are part of the association fee and I could use another company, but they are very good.

I think that our lawn looks great. He is very reasonable to deal with. I won't say that he is the cheapest, but the cheapest is not always the best. I do think that he is reasonable compared to other landscapers in the area.
