They were a real find for me. I think they are great. They are very cooperative with us. We wanted to do something different on our doors and they were so helpful with it. They are great.

In both cases it was a very smooth process. The pulley was fixed in less than two hours from the time I called, which is outstanding. The new door as also a very easy process. They have a great showroom in Norwalk. It was real nice to see so many styles and colors installed in the displays.

Very professional and courteous. Showed up on time and was able to fixed the bent track. I thought they may have to replace the track but technician knew what he was doing and was able to straighten out the track. I was pleasantly surprised.

This is the second time I have used Ed's Garage Door Service. Both times the tech has been understanding and respectful of my (limited) budget. I would recommend them and will use them when I need work done again in the future.

Although they had to cancel the first installation date due to installer illness, they rescheduled to my convenience and completed the work on time.  The installers were professional and the worksite was clean and neat upon completion.  The workmanship is very good and I liked the fact I was able to go to their showroom to see different door options and discuss specific concerns with the sales staff in person.

The only hiccup was waiting for them to call back and schedule the service.  They were using an old phone number instead of one I gave them at the time of the initial call.

We decided to put in a mechanism to replace the old mechanism that raises and lowers the garage door. After checking on Angie's List we called Ed's and were surprised at their eagerness to come over the next day and do the job. Trusting Angie's List we decided to go ahead. It took about 2 hours. All went smoothly and made us feel like we should have done this years earlier. They instructed us how to use the remote control and how to keep it in working order. Excellent service, good attitude and a win win all around.

Garage door stopped operating automatically on a Friday afternoon.  I searched Angie's List and found Ed's Garage Doors.  I phoned and was told that there were technicians working in the area; dispatcher would try to get someone to my home; he was able to do so.  Within two hours of my initial call, a technician was at my home.  He did a quick look, then explained a couple of scenarios (best case/worst case) for the problem.  Within fifteen minutes or so, he was finished and the door was working again - he then took a couple of minutes to explain what had happened, and how to avoid the problem in the future.

Problem solved with no hassle. This was not a complicated repair, but I have used Ed's twice for similar problems and they have been reliable and responsive. They returns calls promptly, arrive when they say they will and get the job done.

Technician rated door as being safe, but was missing the reverse mechanism. Technician left the door chain in an incorrect position and it knocked off the overhead light.
Response from Ed's Garage Doors
"I am wondering in (Member Name) has the correct company, there is an Ed's Garage Door Company based out of Norwalk, CT. We do not do repairs in Connecticut and I do not have a customer with the last name of (Member Name) on either the day of posting or the day that said the work was completed. It is my feeling at this time, based on the lack of information that I can find on this service call, that we did not do this repair and (Member Name) has the wrong company."

They were prompt and very reasonable. Their price was very reasonable and their work was perfect. We were very pleased with them. The price was a big surprise because they included the remote control.
