gutter cleaning, gutter repair
 + 0 moreWe knew that our rain gutters needed work, but while we were having our house painted, we learned that the gutters had been damaged beyond repair and that the fascia boards were rotted. We called two top-rated Angies List gutter companies in Stamford, and made appointments to get estimates. But then we found out that our neighbors had just had gutter work done by Seth, in the aftermath of the hurricane. The neighbors were very happy with his work, and recommended him highly. We did get estimates from the other two companies, but they were about $500 higher than Seth's. In addition, they did not notice the problem with the moulding. We thought Seth did an excellent job. (He did get some primer on our recycling bin, but nobody's perfect.)
Description of Work: Seth replaced all our rain gutters and gutter fascia boards, and installed drip edges. The gutters were old, and over the years had been dented and broken by roofers and snow removal crews. The old fascia boards were rotted, we had no drip edges, and some of our rafters were getting soaked. Seth replaced all the rain gutters and fascia boards and installed the missing drip edges. He also cut away some mouldings that may have been built with decorative intentions, but were interfering with drainage. The whole job was done quickly and professionally. When the heavy rains began the following Spring, we had some water dripping from one part of the new gutters. Seth returned immediately and adjusted their position. He worked so quickly we hardly knew he was there, and the problem was fixed within a few minutes.
