Colonial Floor Refinishing

We hired Jerry to buff and add another coat to our floors. We looked at others as well and he gave us the fairest price for the job where others had highly inflated quotes. We had no issues scheduling. Work was done well and on time. We highly recommend him and would use him again.

The job was very well done, I have used them in the past to do my bedrooms. They are very neat and clean. I highly recommend them if you need your hardwood floors redone.

Great work by Jerry. The floors look amazing and we're very happy. We had just had a lot of other work done on the house and he was so careful and considerate. Prompt and responsive. Jerry, Michelle and team did a phenomenal job refinishing our floors. They were communicative, always on time, reasonably priced, flexible and most importantly skilled floor refinishers. We have 3 different types of wood floors in our home and we wanted a 'custom' Pinterest inspired color. They matched the color perfectly. And our floors looks brand new.

Excellent job ... with minimal supervision because we were moving to the area from another state and couldn't be there for most of the work. I worked with Michele - who runs the office - by phone, text and email to get the logistics and financial end of the job confirmed. Jerry and his crew could not have done a better job ... And they worked under grueling conditions as we had a heat wave with high humidity during most of it. Not to mention, our seller postponed closing for two days which wrecked our contractor/work schedule, but Michelle and Jerry were very amenable and worked around our scheduling problems to get the job done for us. The finished product - beautiful hardwood floors - was transformational for the house (a 200 year old historic colonial that had been somewhat neglected over the years). We will absolutely work with Colonial Floors again for another floor refinishing project in the near future.

Excellent - Jerry and Michelle team were very professional. We had accumulated different color stained floors over the years and you wouldn't know now looking at the finished work. Jerry & Michelle were very timely on responses (including late evenings), quality of work was very good and clean (very little dust residue), they always arrived on time and efficiently got things done. They provided honest advice on color/ material choices and were frank if they thought something does not look right (ie not yes people which helps when the floor had 8 samples colors to choose from). On price i think they were spot on - to give context we had 6 quotes (Collonial weren't the cheapest) but interestingly, when the higher quotes were challenged, they all matched the Colonial price. First day sanded oak floor and rolled on a clear coat. The next two days came to roll on another clear coat...total 3 coats. They are very attentive and answered all my question, they arrive when they say they are coming which is great! I have used this company before and will continue to use them in the future.

We are so happy with Jerry and his work. The floor looks great and he took time to answer any of my questions. We will be calling him back to do another room soon as we finish painting out another bedroom.

Fantastic from start to finish.  Scheduling was a breeze with Jerry's wife Michelle via text and Jerry and his team provided a quick estimate and finished the work in a week, as promised.  We are very pleased with the quality of the job.

I scheduled for an estimate.  Jerry came on time, took measurements of all the rooms (including closets) and got back to me with a quote the next day.  I chose Colonial Floor Refinishing because Jerry did the work himself (along with a helper or two) and his years of experience along with a competitive price. (as an Angie List member I received 10% off the quoted price)  Michelle was able to schedule the work sooner than promised.
The work was done over several days.  The dust from the sanding was minimal.  The 3 poly coats were done over several days (leaving time for the previous coat to dry.  
Jerry was always on time (which was appreciated as the house was unoccupied and I had to drive to meet him each day).
I would definitely use them again.  Highly satisfied with the results.

They quoted $300 to fill in the areas of missing floor (we provided materials), and when the work went faster than they had expected, they only charged us $200.
No dust in the rest of the house.
The results are beautiful.

Jerry, the proprietor, does the work himself with a helper.  The floors came out fantastic.  Great craftmanship, with very little wear and tear on the walls.  They came out when they said they would, finished when they said they would, and final bill was what they said it would be, no surprises.  Would definitely use Jerry again and recommend to others.  A pleasure.

Michelle, his wife was a joy to work with on scheduling and Jerry was able to work us in between other jobs so that it worked out with our schedule. I will recommend them to everyone.

I recommend this provider especially after dealing with a few other local floor refinishers who gave crazy high estimates or did not bother to respond to my phone call and/or email. Colonial is local and honest and the job was professional and cost friendly.

Michele was very pleasant and helpful.  She explained all my options for refinishing my wooden floors.  Jerry promptly came to my house to look at my floors and provided a fair estimate.
The work was completed on-time.  The floors look new.  I am quite pleased with the overall experience and quality of the work.      

They were pros.  Great value.  The floors came out great and they even sanded our island counter top that was wood without complaint.  I would recommend them to anyone looking to re-sand and stain their hardwood floors.

Had excellent workers (2).  Quick response to intial inquiry, arrived on time, did very neat job with excellent clean-up, very neat and polite, excellent price...over-all they did a great job...and offered very good sugestions for maintaince, etc.. I highly recommend  this small company....
