My Shetland Sheepdog, Lady, is an older dog with significant health problems. She has seen almost every doctor on staff at Broad River, and each of them have been extremely helpful in finding the correct diagnoses and treatments to keep her happy and healthy. We have been working with Dr. Zimels since we adopted Lady in 2006, and she has been incredibly helpful. She is always willing to even just talk on the phone when I have a question or concern. Dr. Lamothe has also been very helpful during this last stretch of difficulties including worsening arthritis and nutritional difficulties. Broad River refers to specialists when necessary, but can handle almost any issue in house without having to go elsewhere. They have been very flexible with timing for appointments, and also phone calls to answer quick questions. I would not hesitate to recommend the practice to anyone looking for a vet in the Norwalk area. The front desk staff are all friendly and very helpful. The techs and assistants are all great with the animals, and really care for them. Thanks to BRAH, Lady is much happier and healthier than she was just a year ago. They really helped us to figure out the problems she was having and find the appropriate treatments. I can't praise them highly enough.

We have been taking our Yorkie here ever since we owned her (14 1/2 years now). Broad River Animal Hospital provides EXCELLENT veterinary care and covers all bases. They have performed all our dog's routine exams, dental cleanings (Dr. Zimels), and cruciate ligament (helped us arrange specialist Dr. Pond) and mast cell tumor cancer surgeries (Dr. Zimels performed surgery and they helped us arrange Dr. Post for radiation - thankfully our dog is now in remission and has been since 2010). We primarily see Dr. Senker who is top notch but have had visits with all their other doctors at various times over the years and all have top credentials. All of their doctors including other staff provide EXCELLENT service in our book! We just wish they were closer to home but the drive and costs are well worth it. We highly recommend this veterinary clinic to all!

While Broad River is not my primary veterinary practice, I have used Dr. Senker for accupuncture treatments for my dogs over the years. He is caring, compassionate and realistic. One of the best aspects of Broad River is that each of the vets is extremely experienced and they will confer with each other whenever the need arises. It's like getting a team of consultants to help diagnose a problem and devise a course of action that makes sense for the particular dog and owner.

The receptionists were very nice and helpful, we were showed into an exam room pretty quickly once we arrived. The exam room is a little bare (no chair for me to sit) but acceptable.

The Dr was also very nice and friendly, my dog took to him very well. We didn't have any specific concerns for the dog, this was just a check-up and shots. But we will continue to use this practice, especially since they also offer boarding!

My experience with them was excellent. I love Dr. Michele Lamothe, who I go to. She is outstanding. She takes time; she is very concerned. She will call you and will return calls. I know people who go there and do not like other people in the facility. They do not seem to like the two gentlemen, who are in charge of the practice. Dr. Laura Leigh Frazier has a great reputation. I just moved into the area. My sister-in-law, brother-in-law, and others use them as well. So, I ended up using them. The last time I went there, I paid $370, which I thought was comparable. The quality of their service was good. The facility was clean. The aides and the people in there were very good. I had to wait a little while, though. Their bookkeeping was a little sloppy. When I got home, I realized that they did not bill me for one of the tests that they had taken. I actually called back and told them about it as my concern was I wanted the test documented. I think it was the fault of the person in charge of the billing. I would use them again in the future.

I've taken my cats to Broad River for 10 years. Most of the time I have seen Dr. Michele Lamothe. She is outstanding in every way. My cat was diagnosed with kidney disease years ago. Her up-to-date knowledge about treating kidney disease truly helped my cat live several healthy and happy years more than he would have otherwise. Throughout his treatment, she always took the time to explain what test results meant, what stage of disease he was at, what we could expect, etc. She has a great combination of intelligence, professional competence, and compassion. For the past few months she has been providing a similar level of care for another cat of mine with lymphoma. Dr. Lamothe is really top-notch. I can't say much about price, as I've only used Broad River since moving to CT, so I have no comparison.

I THINK THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE, BUT THEY ARE ALSO VERY EXPENSIVE. THEY ARE VERY RESPONSIVE. WHENEVER I HAVE AN EMERGENCY, I DON'T HAVE TO HAVE AN APPOINTMENT. THEY JUST LET ME COME IN.
