I take care of tubs for Norwalk housing. Bender & Mr Shower door in Norwalk refer to me. I do the work myself. I schedule just your refinishing for the day. Not rushing your tub to get to another or showing up late in day tired doing sloppy work. In business since 2005 and specialize only in refinishing and/or cleaning tubs, slip resistant bottoms and chip repairs. I use very good bonding agents with Florescent additive. I then turn lights off and shine black light on tub. This shows where I missed spots applying it. This is key because the bonding agent is what makes the topcoat stick. Missed areas can cause failures. Every single time no matter how careful I am, when I shine that black light it shows me where it needs more. This black light also shows up little bits of dirt that could of ended up in the finish. Ct Lic #611303 Free Slip Resistant bottom with paid refinishing of tub for Angie's List customers. I also have slip resistant glue down mats for tubs that are fine with just a professional cleaning but may have issues on bottom of tub. Saving you $$. I also do repairs around drains and chip repairs. It's not always necessary to refinish the tub. There's actually a lot of times where I'll strip off a DIY kit and address an issue such as mineral deposits or worn drain area leaving original porcelain when I can and for less money than a full refinish. A lot of times people hire me to refinish the tub but by the time I'm done cleaning it they are happy with that. Of course this is if color of tub was not an issue. Even with a full refinish it's still a lot less money than a plastic liner which can collect water between tub n liner which I hear costs approx $2000 for just the tub. Am I the cheapest. No! Being a legit business, using good products, refinishing just your tub for the day does cost more than the low balling speedballs. I take on average 4 or 5 hour. I've heard guys talking how they are in n out in an hour. Even one guy saying 45 minutes. I can only imagine the shortcuts that are being taken to be in n out in 45 minutes. Sure you could hire someone for less but, do you want to deal with issues shortly down the road then trying to get this person back from out of state if he's even still in business. I'm locally based out of Norwalk. I've lived here since 1964. Been refinishing since 2005. I worked corporate in IT for a multi-billion dollar corporation for 22 years prior to 2005. They relocated to Texas and we decided to stay here where our family is. So I decided to go into business for myself and here I am.

"I’m so glad you are happy with your tub. I do charge more then some outfits because I schedule just your refinish for the day so I can take my time and, do the best I can. I don’t want to rush it thinking I have to get to another or showing up late in day tired doing sloppy work. I belong to forums where guys boast about how they are in n out in n hour even 45 minutes. In your case I spent an hour alone just removing old dried glue where the shower door was (tub n tiles) and, caulking where the tiles meet the tub. If you recall I offered to take less then price quoted because you thought it was less. So thank you, I really appreciated the full quoted price. Especially during these times. Thanks again, Gary"
"Thank you very much for your review. It gives me great satisfaction when people are happy with my work and take the time to do a review. For those who are reading this. I am the owner/operator. I only schedule one refinishing a day. It takes time to do a good job. I don't rush your refinishing to get to another or show up late in day tired and doing sloppy work. I will do a cleaning or chip repair etc but not another refinishing which requires my full attention and, as much time as needed. It takes me 4 to 5 hours on average. There are a lot of Refinishers which I call speedballs who claim they are in n out in one hour. One guy even stated 45 minutes!!!! I can only imagine the shortcuts taken. Yes, you can pay less for a speedball who's doing 6 tubs in a day but, an inferior job can fail and end up costing even more. Thank you,"
