Over the years the North Windham Animal Hospital has had a few doctors leave and new ones have replaced them. In all cases the caring and professionalism has never wavered. I trust them all.
I absolutely appreciate their honesty in terms of what the costs for any particular treatment might be. They have given us options and advice. Never have I felt pressured into having certain procedures performed.

I've had the opportunity to have Dr. Friedland as my veterinarian since he opened his practice in 1978. We go a long way back, and during these years, I've never once thought about going to another practice. Dr. Friedland works with his patient's “parents” and has not once made a bad call on any diagnosis...I'm serious!
He retired just last month, and I'll miss him terribly; however, Dr. Shemer and Dr. Beal have been working along side Dr. Friedland for a while now. He actually introduced me to Dr. Shemer when he first entered the practice and said he had
cloned Dr. Shemer to be him! Well, I have to agree after seeing how Dr. Shemer works with my cats. Dr. Beal is the most recent member of this fantastic team, and I think she is a perfect fit for the North Windham Animal Hospital. She and I are working together toward reversing having to give one of my cats insulin!
As far as the staff goes, you couldn't ask for a more compassionate and caring team from the ladies at the front desk to the techs in the back rooms. Many of them have been there for many years, and I consider them my friends.
If you are looking for a veterinarian to bring your pets to, be sure to consider this practice. Their pricing is competitive and they always go the extra mile, especially in an emergency.
