Email request for service. Response/agree to appointment < hour. Arrived at my home within 3 hours, and repair completed promptly. Provider also gave tips on using the machine more efficiently and informed about what might be future concerns based on the age of the appliance and his experience with it and the manufacturer. Part required cost $70 + $100 service call + labor based on time + tax - Angie's courtesy. I thought the service was 10% too expensive, but the promo response and competent service placated me. Mr Ford was pleasant and I recommend him.

Paul was here about an hour and I feel he charges fairly and is an honest man. His response was quick when I contacted him through Angie's List. He is a very friendly and knowledgeable provider who also cleans up after the work. I would definitely call him for any other future appliance repair we may need.

We had a problem with our refrigerator leaking . Paul responded promptly . Not only did he do a great job fixing the problem but but he took time in explaining the cause, and offered advice to prevent a reoccurrence. Very nice person , we definitely highly recommend him !

Marty, who works for Paul did an EXCELLENT job.  Arrived on time, was friendly, professional and had the parts already for the repair so that I didn't have to wait to have the repair done.  I was kind of embarrassed that the inside of the dryer was so dusty, but he went right to work with a smile.  Honestly, one does not find that quality of customer service much these days, and at a price that I could afford. I plan on telling EVERYONE what a great repair service this is . And they will be the first ones I contact if another appliance stops working!!  Only wish I could go higher than an " A"  I would give them overall an A+++++++++++++.

Having Mr. Ford repair my 17 year old Whirlpool refrigerator saved me at least $400.  He arrived within the timeframe he predicted on the phone and got right to work.  I really appreciated the fact that he explained what he was doing and why as he worked.  He took care to make sure that the unavoidable mess was contained as much as possible.  He had the necessary replacement part on his truck--thus saving a lot of time on the job overall.  I will definitely call him if I have another appliance go down in the future.  I trust his judgment.

I called about 8:30am and left a message describing my problem. Paul called me back within the hour and said he could handle the belt replacement that day. He called once on he was on his way and arrived shortly after. I wasn't sure if the nattily dressed gentleman who showed up at the door  in a fedora  and Bermuda shorts was going to repair my dryer or offer me a marguerita, but he went straight to his work, was quick, neat, obviously knowledgable , and he gave me the impression that he enjoys what he does.   He answered my questions from the sideline about  how a dryer works and handed out some additional advice about  dryer vent safety.  The best thing is that i felt felt good about the repair after he left, not insecure or wondering if I had been taken advantage of or paid for something that was unnecessary.

The man who came to the house was friendly, professional and knew what he was doing.  I had another repairman attempt to fix the problem some months previous, and his solution worked for a short time.  This time, the inside tub of the diswasher was dismantled and the problem was really fixed.  I joined Angie's List for this problem and I couldn't be more pleased.

The stove that was repaired is in a house I own, but rent out. I was anxious to have the stove repaired in time for the holidays, and is was. A company that performs in an emergency gets extra credit from me. Because it is a rental house and I can't always be there when repairs or services are performed, it is imperative that providers be reliable, responsive, qualified, and considerate. The young man who made the service call met all of those requirements. I will call Paul Ford the next time an appliance needs service.

Mr. Ford overcharged for service call.  He was a no show for the 1st 2 appts. He looked at a fridge and said it was ok.  Fridge moved to place of business and the fridge having same issue as original call.  He only opened the unit and said seems fine.   1964 stove Mr. Ford told me it was the heating element and to replace my much loved vintage stove.  Friend swapped element, lo & behold it was not the element.  Problem with oven not heating due to wire in back of fridge.  Mr. Ford was going to charge me $150 for igniter switch for my other oven and $100.00 to install.  This would all happen on 2nd visit after 1st visit cost me $197.00.  Again friend who is NOT an appliance repair person showed me how to order part - $22.00 and he took 15 minutes to fix oven.    Not Happy with Mr. Ford.
Response from Paul Ford Appliance Service
"This was a service event I wish I had passed on from the outset. The point not made by the member was that the six appliances were at two different addresses. Three at a multi-family residence with appliances in the basement, on the outside back porch, and in a second floor apartment. Three others at a private, for-profit group home about a mile away, two in a commercial kitchen and one in a high use basement laundry. Time on the job was hardly casual, serious effort made in diagnosis and consultation with the member as to the advisability of continuing with repairs. The member was charged one service call even though it was actually two, and less time than spent onsite. I was told to schedule a follow-up repair visit and when I contacted the member, I was basically blown off. In the end I am sorry this business did not end to the member's satisfaction but in the interest of fairness and accuracy, believe I did as much as could be expected, under the circumstances."
