C & R INSULATION INC

This was a small job. I had removed rodent infested batt insulation from basement ceiling and sill and I wanted to have spray foam insulation applied to insulate as well as seal the sill more effectively than batts. The esitmate was $900 and that was what I paid. The job was scheduled and started but had to be rescheduled when a hose was damaged. There was some minor confusion about when the job was rescheduled and the installers came back on a day we weren't expecting them. However, that got resolved fairly quickly and they came back again to do the work . The foam installers were pleasant enough. However, after examining the hardened foam insulation, but I'm not sure the foam was uniformly applied 3" thick on the sill board. The installers also removed a basement window (a slider insert from a metal frame) and did not reinstall it when they left. I reinstalled the window insert myself. It wasn't technically hard to figure out how to reinstall it, but it wasn't physicall easy to do. I do believe they would have come back to reinstall it themselves, but I didn't want to leave the basement open waiting for them. So I'm not sure how it went. If the insulaton proves to be applied effectively, I'll be satisfied. The workers were prompt and did not make a mess with the spray foam, but the business with the window bothered me a lot. The estimate was accurate. I'm not sure I would use these guys for a large job because it seemed to me there were a lot of glitches (although nothing insurmontable) with this small job.
