We contacted Mary Poola about 6 months prior to listing our home with her and were provided invaluable information on the sales process, comparable property values and things we should consider doing. We handed the keys to Mary and within (4) days had (3) offers one of which we accepted and closed withiin (60) days. We were referred to Jason by word of mouth when we were looking to relocate to Connecticut from Louisiana. From the very begining Jason was extremely helpful and corteous to us. He is thoroughly professional, and not at all pushy. It was clear from the start that he was working for us and had a way of making us feel like we were his most important clients, which was especially appreciated since we were first time home buyers and had lots of questions about the process.
We started our house hunting back in November 2011. We flew up to CT for a week to combine a house hunting trip with a Thanksgiving family visit. I should mention that we also had our 3 young children with us, the oldest one being only 6 at the time. Over that week Jason showed us 10 different properties (some more than once, as we went back to our favorite properties) and was actually a lot more relaxed with having the kids running around then we were! Unfortunately we weren't able to make any offers at that time because my husband's contract hadn't been finalized yet. In the end that job fell through and it was 3 months before my husband got another offer in the area, but Jason kept in contact with us the whole time. I think any other realator would've lost interest in us, but Jason wasn't like that at all.
In the end, because of my husband's job location we could have bought property in Rhode Island (which has areas that we both love) but decided to stay in CT because we really liked Jason McKiernan and wanted to give him (and Heritage Properties) the business. When we did find our dream house Jason did a phenomenal job of negotiating for us. Even in this buyer's market we got a phenomenal deal. He was there for us every step up the way and even kept our 3 year old entertained at the closing so we could sign papers uninterrupted!
I can not say enough good things about Jason McKiernan and Heritage Properties. We are extremely pleased with our real estate transaction with them and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy property in CT.
