Sometimes takes a couple of calls to reach, but Bill was good about scheduling my house in while he was working on another in the area.

Bill arrived on time, performed the work and left the house as clean as it was before he started the project. He told us that the chimney was pretty clean after one year of use and if we burned the same amount of wood this winter as we did last year and the wood was as dry as the wood burned last year, we could go two years between cleanings. He inspected the furnace flue and gave us some recommendations to keep it clean and safe.

Another chimney sweep I hired months ago to clean my chimney told me that I needed a new liner for my chimney. Since that guy was late, swore in front of my 4 year old several times and was generally rude, I told him I'd get another bid and let him know if I wanted his services. I joined Angie's List, called a recommended chimney sweep service (August West) who said they didn't do liners, but recommended Bill Hansen. Mr. Hansen was on time, very polite, explained everything to me in lay-person's language, and did the job quickly and cleanly. I should note that he told me that when I do get a new furnace, I'll need a new liner and that they run more than $1000, but that I don't need one right now. In other words, he had the opportunity to lie and tell me I needed it now and make more money (like the previous guy) but he didn't do that. A++++ for honesty and integrity.

WE ALWAYS USE THEM. I HAVE NO REASON TO SWITCH. THEY ARE RELIABLE AND CONSISTENT. THE QUALITY OF WORK IS VERY GOOD. THEY CLEAN UP THE ENTIRE AREA WHEN FINISHED. THEY IDENTIFY AND RECOMMEND ANY NEEDED REPAIRS.
