ADVANCED APPLIANCE SVC

Art was very happy to explain problem... Confirmed he could fix, led me to believe buying a new dryer which was 3/4 of price he charged me was not the best decision with "all his years of expertise" as he mentioned more than once. I took his advice. Paid him $400 to get more years out of dryer. Showed me how to make it run by permanently holding dial in place for the week it took to get my part. It broke literally a week later. This I believe killed motor. He comes back to look and tells me " Yup its the motor" Can't fix" smug about it when I asked for money back,. Refused on site, no way was he giving me a dime back. Told me he doesn't have a crystal ball. I argued , yes he does, It's called knowledge with his soooo many years of experience with these thing. He literally laughed in my face. I am shocked by this. Has been been confirmed by appliance stores he should never had fixed it.. I feel stupid for believing and trusting him!! Would not even give me half back which I thought fair. He is all moonbeams and unicorns personality until confronted with his being a scammer.. I saw flip side. Beware of trusting his knowledge and forthcoming advice. I got burned..

Price for diagnosis was up front, more clear, and less expensive than other providers I called to get estimates.  He was able to come out quickly and was on time.  He explained everything clearly.  His estimate on the cost of the part was fairly close to what it actually cost (was a little more because manufacturer sends a larger part of the machine than what is actually needed).  His estimate on when part would be in was accurate, and he came as soon as it was in to fix the machine.  He is also personable which is always nice.  We were very happy with the service and would recommend the company to others and will use it again if we have another problem with a large appliance.

It went well with Advanced Appliance Service. They were very prompt in being able to schedule an appointment and the person who came had all the parts so he was able to fix everything the first time he came out. It was a good experience. The pricing was a little bit high but the person came right away so we were okay to pay the price.

Art was able to get us in the same day and give us an estimate of the time he would arrive.  He arrived within the time window, quickly assessed the situation and recommended that the repairs that he would need to do would probably not be worth it as the washer was 15 yrs old and needed a new motor.  We will use Art's company again the next time we need an appliance repair.
