Quality Built Basements did an excellent job on your front porch. Bill, the owner was a pleasure to work with and his work was excellent. He pays close attention to detail which turns out quality work. He has done other work for us in the past, and we have always been very happy with the outcome.

Bill did an excellent job with installation of new suspended ceiling. He was very good with communication about start date, times and the installation process.

Although we ended up going with someone else, Bill was prompt, courteous, professional and provided a quote in a reasonable amount of time. He was able to work to our tight schedule to have the work completed by Christmas

Bill visited our home to provide an estimate for a room we wanted to finish in our basement. We ultimately decided to go with a personal reference, but the estimate from Bill was very competitive price-wise vs. other contractors we contacted. We appreciated that Bill was punctual, courteous and very professional throughout the estimate process. If we have another project come up where we would want a new contractor, we would hire Bill indefinitely.

Bill came to my home to give me an estimate for my basement remodel. Although we ultimately decided against remodeling the basement I found Quality First Home Improvement to be very competitive price-wise. He was punctual, courteous and very professional. His estimate was sent in a timely fashion as well. If we are ever to do something in our home that would require their services I wouldn't hesitate to call them.

Bill was very responsive during the entire process - from quote and throughout the build. We got a few quotes from other dedicated basement contractors which were slightly less but ultimately decided to go with Bill because we knew who exactly would be doing the work and we wanted to find a more general contractor to work on future projects. We're very happy with the way the project ended up. Bill kept us informed throughout, cleaned up everyday, and most importantly the quality of the build was great. Very happy and would definitely call him again in future projects.

We had a small family room with a sunporch off of it. Bill raised the floor of the sunporch to make it level with the Family Room and removed the wall in between, leaving a large usable space for our family. He walled in and insulated the sunporch area and installed new windows and a slider. He re-roofed the sunporch area and instlaled new skylights. The whole space was re-wired and new siding was installed. Bill was amazing every step of the way. Besides being a great communicator, he is very organized and detailed. He would give us a schedule of events for the week, every Monday and amend as needed. We always knew what work was being done on any given day. Bill conducts himself with such integrity that on the last day of the job, he re-painted our ceiling. While we hadn't noticed it, Bill was not satisfied with the quality of work the first time around and wanted to be sure it was perfect. The guys that Bill brought in were all very polite and clean. The area would be so clean every day that you almost wouldn't know they were there. On the last day of the job, Bill took the time to make sure that the space was clean for us. He washed the windows, inside and out. He mopped the floor and dusted the mantle. The end result is stunning. Everyone who sees it is so amazed that we were able to transform an old unusable sunporch into this beautiful, spacious, sunny room. It is exactly what we wanted when we set out to complete this project. We would use Bill and Quality FIrst Home Improvement again and reccomend him to everyone we know. We have been so impressed that we asked him to bid on another home improvement project that we have.

No return call

After contacting several different remodeling and home improvement companies to get ideas and prices to finish my basement, I was getting discouraged. Some would make appointments and not show up. Most people showed up late. Besides that, they all insisted on finishing the basement with fiberglass insulation, which we didn't want. I contacted Bill at Quality First Home Improvement. He was actually a few minutes early for our appointment. He was very professional from the start. We were very impressed with the fact that he did not use traditional fiberglass insulation. We had a huge mold problem in a previous house and didn't want that problem again. He showed us proof that the fiberglass is NOT ok. This was exactly what we were looking for. He took several notes, made drawings, helped us to come up with a design we loved. He got back to us quickly with a very reasonable price. Bill, himself was at the job daily. He actually did more than 50% of the work. He is very meticulous. The job site was spotless every day after the work was completed. Any time we had a question, it was answered. The subs he used were also very professional. Everyone showed up on time. The job was completed before the finish date! We are extremely happy. We would definitely recommend Quality First Home Improvement. Our basement is beautiful! This company will be the one we call to remodel our bathroom this year!

Quality First renovated three bathrooms in our West Hartford house. The work included tile, plumbing and electrical. Everything was done with first class quality, completed on time and on budget. Bill and his team did such a good job that we asked him back to do additional renovations to help prepare the house for sale, These included building a walk-in closet, installing new stair railings and miscellaneous repairs & upgrades. Again we were extremely satisfied with the work and the affordable cost. We highly recommend Quality First for any type of construction or renovation.

We spoke to several contractors when deciding to remodel our bonus room. Going into the project we knew that bonus rooms present challenges as they sit above an unconditioned space. We decided to go with Quality First Home Improvement as they had extensive knowledge on the subject and took the time to explain why things like are done a specific way. Prior to remodeling the bonus room, the space was uninhabitable as it was a full 10 degrees F colder than the rest of the second floor. Quality First Home Improvement addressed all the weak points done by the previous contractor and provided us with a functional living space. Throughout the entire project Quality First Home Improvement kept us up to date on how things were progressing. They were on time, on budget and EXTREMELY neat! We would definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone who wants quality work performed.
