"We at DreamMaker Bath and Kitchen are always disappointed to hear that any customer feels they did not get the quality service they expected. We have been in business for 20 years and have done hundreds of remodeling jobs for customers who are extremely happy with the work we do and we always strive to ensure that goal. If you feel that that did not happen with you, we sincerely apologize."
DreamMaker did an excellent job on my kitchen. Paul C the owner was very prompt in getting back to my email inquiry and meeting me at the shop. I interviewed other kitchen companies but DM really had their act together and seemed like they were truly interested in the
job. My designer, Paul D walked me through the selections and did a very nice layout/design. My job was actually started sooner than they quoted and finished sooner. I had a budget in the beginning but I quickly went over that which in the back of my mind I assumed I would do anyway. Appliances and electric were not part of the DM cost. That was additional. All the guys were pleasant and easy going, prompt and cleaned up each day. They handled all inspections and permits, which is what I needed with my busy schedule. I would highly recommend DM and have sent 2 more jobs their way due to referrals. When I do my master bath, they will be the first ones I call.
"Hello [Member Name Removed] I apologize that we did not contact you, I have been working with Angieslist on their email notification system as it never notified me that you had bought from our store front. We are always striving to provide excellence with all of clients, I will log in regularly to be sure I do not miss any store front purchases. If you would like to reach me directly regarding your remodeling plans my number is 860-665-8094. Sincerely Paul Calafiore General Manager DreamMaker Bath & Kiktchen"
My wife and I were pleased with the product, and the professionalism displayed by all the staff that we had contact with. We would use DreamMakers in the future.
Their attention to detail and desire to "get it right" were evident throughout both the design and installation, sometimes to a fault. We occasionally had to fight to do something a little more practical (and cheaper) than what they recommended. We didn't get a built-in refrigerator or microwave, which they insisted would look so much better.
They presented a realistic schedule and stuck to it. This was important both because we had to coordinate with other work going on in the house, and we had to live without a kitchen until they were done.
This was phase 1 of our remodel. We have already contracted Dream maker on phase 2 of our remodel, the rest of our house.
Need we say anything more.
When I got there I was greeted by Paul D, the designer. He
was extremely knowledgeable, patient and helpful. I had never done this
before and needed all the help I could get. He listened and knew
exactly what I needed and what I would like. I knew it would be a
pleasure working with him. He came out to my home took detailed
measurements and drawings and sent me an estimate. I did get two more
estimates and they were in line with his, one was lower and one higher.
Paul went over every detail of the project, helping me
pick out every item. He gently nudged me to abandon outdated ways and
brought me into the 21st century. I am so glad he helped me in that
way. He was truly just as excited about this project as I was.
When Don, Shawn and John came to do the work they were a
pleasure to have in my home. They were masters of their craft, polite
and friendly. Their work ethics were outstanding and they took pride in
every aspect of the project. I was home during almost all of the work
and their upbeat demeanor and attention to every detail was a joy to
experience.
The project went smoothly and was completed on time.
The result was spectacular. My rooms are now showplaces that I love.
I chose DreamMaker
Bath and Kitchen because of the exceptional experience I had with Paul
D. on that first meeting, and my confidence in the company was confirmed
by Don, John and Shawn who where outstanding.
I know I could not have had a better experience anywhere else.
We LOVED working with their designer, Tanja, on our kitchen project. She was patient, professional, and genuinely excited about our project. She was able to help me figure out what my 'style' was, and pull together a truly beautiful kitchen. She held my hand the entire process (something I truly needed because I have ZERO ability to design, decorate or choose colors that look good.) She accompanied me to the lighting store to choose the pendent lights, we visited several tile stores and finally worked out a custom tile design on our own, and she even went with my to choose the fixtures.) The workers that came were extremely professional, and every little issue that came up was quickly dealt with in a professional manner. (A leaky faucet was quickly fixed, minor damage to a cabinet door during install - the door was re-ordered before I even saw it - and when one of my stove burners was cracked from the installer inadvertently putting weight on it while installing the vent - a new one was purchased and mailed to me before I even noticed it was cracked). They were very honest and forthcoming about the quality of their work and clearly take pride in the job they do.
Of course - there has to be a bit of a downside, right? The trade off for all of this high quality work and professionalism shows in their price. Initially we were quoted $45-60K for our remodel project. When all was said and done, we paid DreamMaker over $77,000 - and this did NOT include the appliances, electrical work, or refinishing the floors (additional $22k). If I had known that all of the 'extras' like the cabinet over the stove to hide the vent, a couple of pull-out basket drawers, a higher quality backsplash, etc. were to push the project SO FAR over the initial quote, I would have done more due diligence in getting more quotes. We were in a hurry to get the remodel done so we could move into our new house and then prep the old one for sale..... by the time we realized how much our Dream Kitchen was REALLY going to cost - it was too late unless we wanted to add months onto our time line while searching out other contractors.
All that being said - we do LOVE our kitchen and expect to love it for years and years to come. We would work with Tanja again in a heartbeat - but only after verifying that DreamMaker's prices are competitive with other quality contractors.
We were extremely pleased with DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen. We worked with a designer who was clearly well-qualified to help us navigate through many choices, and she was very patient with us. We especially appreciated the owner's firsthand involvement in our project, adding his opinions on some design choices as well as making frequent appearances while the work was taking place, checking quality and progress as well as physically pitching in at times. There were no surprises, although the price did creep up due to our choices. The work was finished in the stated timeframe and was of very high quality. It was clear that the owner takes pride in the work of his company, and this resulted in a new kitchen that we are absolutely in love with.
"Thank You for giving DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen the opportunity to make your remodeling dreams come true. We at DreamMaker take pride in our work, we work hard for our clients, your review is the reason we love remodeling for homeowners it give us satisfaction knowing that we have left you with a product that you love!! We highly recommend this company to anyone; we will definitely use them again. We are so happy with our bathroom now, Dreammaker exceeded our expectations.
