On December 19 2020 They cut my dogs hair and they informed me that day that he pooped toilet paper But not telling me when I arrived they cut his Mohawk is trademark. I didn’t want to bring him back . They didn’t call me to tell me they had to make changes. And couldn’t even take half off for their mistakes I was devastated. After hesitant to bring them back my husband reason with them but they all ways trimming too much not cutting his tail properly and face as we told them. Girls are unprofessional they pick and choose on how they want the pets to be groomed. Even the last time in March of 2020. Tail wasn’t groomed properly nor his face. Haircut was. Lousy with no explanation Neve Again

I have a Persian cat, 15 years old, that I adopted from a shelter June 2013. He hates (and I put that mildly) being groomed in any way, shape or form. He won't tolerate me using a soft brush, slicker brush, Furminator or combing him and I don't dare to try to clip his nails. The shelter workers did say he didn't like being groomed, but I thought that was because he was confused and in a high stress environment.
I give high marks to these wonderful groomers who manage to make my cat look like handsome and happy once he's been groomed. They have the patience and are more determined than my cat to get the job done. The staff is professional and skilled in handling a very non-cooperative cat. With only three grooming places that I could even locate in the state of Connecticut that will take cats, they are a treasure to find.

Our dog can be a bit high maintenance. She is part Red Heeler and Australian Shepherd so she likes to nip. Combine that with the fact that she HATES having her paws handled she can be quite a pain to groom and clip her nails. She's only 25 pounds, but can be a handful. I called Wash and Wag and asked if they do grooming on dogs like this and the lady was very nice and straight forward. She said they will always attempt and that most dogs that give their owners trouble will behave when left at the groomers. She did say that if the animal is too much trouble that they will do whatever they can, but won't force the issue. I was particularly worried that my dog would fall in that category, but took her in anyways. We left her first thing on a Saturday morning and were told we could pick her up any time between 12:30 and 3:00. I dropped her off and left to run errands. We went by right about 1:00 and she was all done. Her hair isn't particularly long so they didn't have to trim anything, but her nails were clipped, fur washed, and she felt like she'd been blow dried. The entire thing only cost $35 and we are thrilled to have found a place that can handle our pooch.

They do a fantastic job of cleaning and properly cutting the hair of our cat. They take their time and we always get our cat back very clean and well groomed. I would advise others to make an appointment a few days in advance. Also, their prices are very reasonable.
