I hired Better Homes for a deck and siding project in Ridgefield CT. Rob started the project with an in depth review of what we wanted and meticulously measured and helped with specific design elements. His crew was on the job after about a week and began the difficult process of demo. Our home had original siding with inferior products as underlayment. The crew at better homes did an amazing job keeping the job site clean given the condition of the material they removed. They kept each inch of the project clean and dry along the way. The finishing work was outstanding, very clean, exactly as designed / contracted and exactly on time and within our budget. We also had Rob and the team rebuild our aging deck. The quality and speed of his crew was obvious from start to finish. The siding and deck projects were perfectly married together where they meet on the home. Canâ t recommend them enough for their great service, craftsmanship and attention to detail.

I am more than pleased with the total roof replacement done by Better Home and would not hesitate to recommend them for any future work. The 6800sf roof replaced is intricate in design and detail with multiple dormers, valleys, circles, etc. From start to finish, both the process and quality of work done was outstanding. Rob discussed the proposal including costs and options in detail for my complete understanding. Throughout the replacement process, I was continually advised by Rob who was always available to answer questions. My schedule was accommodated. The friendly crew team was supervised and respectful of property, cleaning up daily. They followed our restrictive association policies. The 6 week project was not only professionally done but finished within budget and basically on time despite numerous rain delays.

Robâ  s team repaired the upper four or five courses of two very high chimneys. They set up scaffolding, removed the failed bricks, mortar and top of both, one was a three four and the other a two flue), and created an elegant cap using granite. Their crew was meticulous, picking up all stone chips and debris from the grounds each day and left equipment tucked away behind landscaping. The crew was respectful and careful on our property. The fact that Better Home Improvements guarantees their work is a solid plus. Work was completed on time and on budget. I look forward to working with them again for other improvements and repairs.

Rob keeps me notified about each step of the project. He never once tried to sell me something I didnâ t need and went out of his way to help me make informed decisions. Crew professional, polite and hard working. Reasonable pricing. Excellent company.

Old school contractor. Shows up on time everyday and even texts in advance. Does what he says what he is going to do and when he is going to do it Never tries to upsell. If you don't need something he will tell you. He is honest to a fault. He takes photos of everything he does as he is proud of his work. Will hire him again without hesitation.

My first projects with Better Home Improvements, Rob certainly lived up to the promises on which he founded his business- trust and quality- which is hard to find, especially these days. Rob is easy to reach, easy to work with, does professional quality work, and stands by it. Rob and his son Seth go out of their way to improve the quality of installations, beyond the basic requirements, and spend the time to make sure things are built to last. We hired Rob for multiple fence and gate installations, including a custom cedar privacy gate, made to match our neighbor's bordering fence, a vinyl arbor with gate & side wings, and black steel rail fencing nestled into a row of full grown giant arborvitaes. As part of the cedar gate project, we also had our gutter downspouts buried. I'm glad to have found Rob and look forward to working with him and Seth again.

We are very happy with the work done. Our basement was divided into two sections so we could have a separate gym area. The dividing wall has wonderful windows that go with the rest of the room. Great detail was taken to find all the right fixtures, including doorknobs and trims. A mini laundry area was also added, which came out perfectly!

We hired Rob and his team to replace a tricky deteriorating chimney, then found his work so good that we also had him rebuild our pool with new terrace, and various other significant jobs. The work is top notch. Rob is easy to work with--extremely conscientious, precise and-- best of all--on time. Highly recommend.

We are so pleased with the work Rob and his team at Better Home Improvements have done for us. We hired them to replace a collapsing pergola in our back garden that had become badly overgrown with wisteria. It was a project we’d had trouble getting other contractors to take on, but after first contact with Rob, he quickly came to the house to assess and offer an estimate. His team removed all vegetation that needed to go, pulled down the rotten pergola and replaced it with a beautiful new structure, power-washed, and finished within two days! The whole team were polite and efficient, all communications were clear throughout, and Rob helped us find quality solutions within our budget for this project. We look forward to working with Better Home Improvements again on future house and garden needs.

Called on Better Home Services to help repair some wood rot in a number of the supports for a large solarium and leaks around a few of the overhead windows. With the oncoming winter snows, there was a serious concern about the structural integrity to last the winter. BHS added bracing to all the supports and re-caulked all the solarium overhead windows. Rob was very responsive and offered good advice with some good ideas for an unusual project. He and his people implemented in a timely manner. They showed good flexibility and focused on meeting the job requirements including coming back to take care of some final details. Did a great job fixing a serous problem. Would recommend him and would work with him again
