General Remodeling, Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel + 1 more
$1,000
I started on remodeling my bathroom while wife was out of the country. I ran out of time and was looking for someone to get me back on schedule. Since our bathroom was demolished, we didn't have ability to shower. Hired Expo Remodeling under the premise that work would be completed in the next day or two. They did about 1/3 of the work but had issues in scheduling the remainder. Got pinged as to whether I would be home on Tuesday for someone to stop by in the morning. No one ever showed up and didn't even get a courtesy response letting us know that we didn't need to stay at home. Asked me if Friday (today is Wednesday and work was supposed to be completed at the latest on Monday) was acceptable. Again, I have no working bathroom shower (this is over one week). Come to learn from other professionals that materials used were low grade. For example, current subfloor is 3/4" and they replaced a patch with 1/2". One of the joists they replaced used drywall screws instead of the proper construction screws. They also wanted to use OSB instead of plywood (even though the agreement specifies plywood). OSB is lower cost. If you view disclaimers on thinset, they also recommend against OSB. In summary, if I didn't provide oversight, I would have probably been the typical home improvement customer where I only viewed how the job looked at the end and then had to redo it in the future after the warranty period has expired.

Yes, I recommend this pro
$30,000
They were extremely professional!!!  They came for the estiamte and it was very reasonable.  Work began on the day promised and was completed on the day promised!!!!  All permits were pulled and in place.
The work was done with care and came out beautifully.  The workers were perfessional and the work site was kept as clean as possible for the amount of work being done.  My husband and I are very satified and my granddaughter loves her new bedroom.
I would recommend this company to anyone looking to have remodeling work done.
