I specified, in an email, that I wanted three movers, with one person to be dedicated to packing the moving truck carefully, and I wanted that person to be an experienced packer. I asked if they have dollies, and was told they do. I said I was unsure about the arrival time of the moving truck, and they said to just let them know when it got there, and they would try to be flexible. It arrived and I let them know and they said they would start around 11:30, maybe noon. At noon, one person arrived. He left to find his companion, who he thought might be lost. At 12:30, the two of them arrived. I called my contact and asked where the third person was. No third person. I said I was supposed to get someone experienced in packing a truck. Not gonna happen. I asked where the dolly was and was told they never use dollies. One of the two movers was definitely the better of the two, and after awhile he took to ordering and cajoling the other guy, who clearly wasn?t very interested. They worked did work hard. They took smoking breaks every half hour. At the end, it turned out that we had to give money in person to the owner, and the owner didn?t show up for some hours after the job was done, leaving me sitting on a curb waiting for the owner to show up so I could hand over the money.
