TECH STAR

After a section of vinyl siding blew off my home's exterior wall, Tech-Star agreed to re-attach or replace it (whichever was needed) and did so. Their response was very timely. In doing so it was discovered that the siding became detached because of water getting under the siding, thus damaging the wood sheathing. Sections of the sheathing needed replacing as well as re-attaching the siding or replacing it where necessary. Evan was very thorough and competent in evaluating and making the necessary temporary repairs until the permanent repairs were made. He also assisted by coordinating and evaluating the extent of damage for the homeowners insurance property adjuster. This was followed by the proper repairs that included some stud replacement, new sheathing, insulation, installing a vapor barrier and new and re-attached vinyl siding. I am very happy with the timeliness, quality of work, cost and professionalism of everyone invloved from Tech-Star.

Overall the roof is good, however gutters and siding were carelessly damaged, deck gouged, roof shingles were not trimmed properly. Dented vent pipe boot installed. Smashed gutter diverter, and when it was pointed out, said it was unavoidable. Teck Star's subcontractor, Empire Construction had an attitude that "collateral damage" was inevitable and unavoidable. For this reason, I would not allow Tech Star to correct installation errors. I would rather fix the problems myself than risk further problems.

THEY SPACED THE SEAMS EQUALLY, AND THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB WITH THE TRIMMING AROUND THE WINDOWS. OVERALL THEY DID A FANTASTIC JOB ON THE WORK THEY DID FOR ME.

THE WORK THAT THEY DID WAS FIRST CLASS. THEY WERE VERY GOOD ABOUT SHOWING UP ON TIME AND WORKING REALLY HARD THROUGHOUT THE JOB. THE ONLY PROBLEM THAT I NOTICED WAS THAT THEY OVERLOOKED A FEW MINOR DETAILS.
