GREAT-the repairs were done in a timely fashion,  and my car now runs like a new automobile and the brakes are very responsive.The mechanics treated me extremely well, and I was impressed at their knowledge and professionalism.

allowed to spend up to $2,000.00, but more than that, to please call me.
I waited (Oh, Mike also said it may be a few days.ah, well).
Approximately 3 hours later, the phone rings. Having caller ID, my heart sunk - oh, jeez, MORE that 2 grand??? Really?
Mike says "Mary, you're all set". 'huh?' I said "What do you mean? - What happened?. He says: there was a nest in the (some mechanical place), and he had to pull it out, clean stuff off, and replace a (some mechanical thing). Total: $175.00.
As I'm sure some of you can see, I am really well versed with cars and mechanical nature of things, so I knew exactly what had happened.
Or, perhaps that was a wise-acre statement, and I have trouble putting gas in my car.
Since the latter is true, and since Mike or Doug know this of me (years I've been going there), it really wouldn't have been any trouble for Mike to tell me (mechanical thing did a mechanical thing did your drive shaft forward propulsion liason to usurp all mechanical things ...and it will cost you $3,000.00......), and me, blindly, would pay it.
That's why I am so happy with Seaport Auto.
That, and that I have sent a whole bunch of people there who have been stunned with the high quality, low cost.
Mike and Doug make it terribly easy for me twice a year - I say I need the car 'winterized', and they do all the stuff that entails, then present me with a bill that is almost half of what other friends of mine pay for their 'winterizing' (whatever that means). All I know is: I stay warm and safe in the winter, and cool and safe in the summer(when I 'summerize'...)
To summarize (get it?) SEAPORT AUTO ARE AS HONEST AS YOUR MOTHER!
Pardon for yelling, but it's true.

Our car would not start, so AAA towed it to seaport auto. It took him 2 days before he even looked at it, but it started right up for him so he charged us nothing. He have us some thoughts on the cause but did not sell us on performing unnecessary work.

Wonderfully every time.  They've taken (most) of the pain out of my repairs.

My daughter was away from home when the car stopped working. We had the car towed by them and they did the repairs. We have not had any problems with the work that they did. Overall we were satisfied with their service.

They rebuilt an older model transmission. It would have been tough to find a replacement so they rebuilt it. They did a good job, had reasonable rates, communicated well and they were someone I could trust. They answered my questions, the vehicle was repaired properly and there weren't extra charges that I didn't know about. It was done in a timely fashion.
