The crew removed seven damaged arborvitae along our side patio and then they ground the stumps and removed the waste from our property. They did the job quickly and efficiently. We did not, however, find the crew to be as careful as we would have hoped. They would have mutilated the railroad ties surrounding the arborvitae bed when they ground the stumps if my husband had not said something. They should not have assumed we didn't care if they damaged the railroad ties - we wanted to keep the bed in tact for planting flowers. They did move the ties out of the way when my husband asked (did not replace them when finished). Also one of the crew just twisted and pulled off the damaged arborvitae branches along the back of the yard. My husband could have done that. We were looking for a clean cut with a chainsaw. They did the job we contracted them to do, but we felt the professionalism - the care and respect for our property was lacking.

The home I purchased in April was in dire need of tree removal. I called Dunn's for an estimate on removing 1 VERY large maple and 1 VERY dead pine that had been choked out by bittersweet vines for years and neglected. You couldn't even tell it was a pine originally and it was so badly covered in vines it looked like it had grown hair. The cost to cut, chip, and remove the big debris was in my opinion VERY reasonable. They arrived on time and were done under 2 hours. I am so glad I had this done since we had Hurricane Irene 3 months later. No doubt that pine would've fallen on my house or the neighbors' 20x20 shed.

The men showed up late mourning as promised. I showed them a couple of areas we wanted them use care around and they marked these areas and made sure all workers knew about them.They proceeded to set up there equipment and removed the tree and limb. The chips and small limbs, that had broken off during shredding, were cleaned up and hauled away.
