Skip was very professional. He came out and gave us a very detailed estimate, which included approaches we could take to save money. I never got the feeling that he was trying to up-sell us on anything unnecessary. His initial estimate for the work was in-line with other estimates we received. Ultimately we chose Wallenta due to his professionalism, knowledge, and ability to demonstrate the quality of his work. We replaced an aging pressure treated deck with new synthetic decking material. We were initially hoping to keep our existing foundation, but when the first deck was put up, the previous owner did not put flashing up. Skip showed us the substantial damage done in the 30 year life of the prior deck and discussed options with us. Ultimately we decided to rip down and replace the old deck foundation, which added a bit to the cost of course. Skip was able to accommodate this change without a huge impact to time. We're very happy with the result and would definitely use Just Decks again.

from day 1 when Skip came out to give us an estimate, he was a true professional, very courteous and responsive. When he said he was coming out, within 2 1/2 days the deck was completed and looks amazing.

Job was performed with great quality, professionalism, creativity and thoroughness. Skip's strong work ethic was surpassed only by his dedication and perfectionist drive to complete a job quickly, accurately and flawlessly. He left the job spotless and only after complete customer satisfaction was obtained. He is someone that is trustworthy, a man of his word and has rare trait - integrity. He is by far the best contractor I have ever dealt with. He is a rare breed.

Skip replaced the whole front porch . He did it all in three days. Porch looks great and his costs were fair. Skip is the best in what he does. I highly recommend him.

Excellent!!!

Skip was very professional.  He had promised to have my deck delivered by Memorial Day weekend so my kids could begin enjoying it and the pool immediately, which he delivered (early).  He allowed me to work the town permits myself providing me with detailed drawings the town immediately signed off on.   Upon inspection of the final product the inspector approved and even included a "Nicely Done!" comment. 

The deck itself was constructed perfectly and exceeded my expectations (which is difficult to do).  He took the extra time to sand down all the edges, add a hand railing (which I did not ask for) and add some originality to the decking design by angling the boards towards one another. 

In my previous experience with many contractors I found communication was the biggest failure, but in this case I knew when he would be onsite and what he would be performing.  Not only was communication fantastic, but my expectations were set correctly and certainly exceeded.

Everything went perfectly. Skip Wallenta, the owner, does awesome work! He got the entire thing done in 2 days. This included removing the work that a previous company had done incorrectly. He worked relentlessly and meticulously and it is gorgeous!
