They overcharged for the part, and the labor charge was above fair market. The real reason they received an F from me was because THEY FAILED TO FIX THE LEAK. The new part is not sealed properly somewhere so I will be forced to go under the hood and figure out where they failed to seal it and attempt to fix it myself, since I cannot afford to have them go at it again, nor do I wish to argue with them on the phone about fixing the problem free of charge being their responsibility. I do NOT recommend them- their pressure test determined no leak so if that is to be believed the problem must be poor workmanship that led to an almost immediate seal failure, considering that the car has been driven no more than 150 miles since it was serviced. If you use them IMMEDIATELY determine whether they did the job right.

My 2001 ford taurus wagon needed an oli change and I asked them to check the tires and brakes. When I was told on the phone that brakes and rotors alone would be over $1,000.00, I just had the oil change done. To my surprise when I picked up my car, I was charged $75 for them to check my brakes. The man on the phone had quite the attitude and seemed quite annoyed when I declined to have the work done. I have many choices where to bring my car for service these days. A poor attitude is red flag for me.

Personal Auto Care is fantastic. The owner is always there to say hello and makes an effort to provide personal attention. They are very professional and I have never had a problem with them in 20 years. They are always cheaper than the dealership and I would recommend them to anyone who needs a good mechanic.

They are very reasonable, particularly in troublesome repairs. Once, the repair they provided did not fix the problem entirely. They did not charge me for labor for the subsequent repair need to fully solve the issue.
