Town building inspector failed roof job. Company had to come back and make repairs. Owner very reluctant to make repairs, and when he did complete job the day the roof was reinspected demanded final payment. Three days later get letter from attorney demanding we pay balance $675.00. After we paid the attorney then he files for $675.00 in small claims court. I guess he thought since we paid his attorney we would not show up in court. Small claims court, if you don't show up the judge rules against you, and it is final. You cannot not reverse a small claims judgment. These folks know the system and how it works. So be very aware with contractors folks. We certainly learned our lesson.
