Outstanding. Attention to detail and quality of work were always first and foremost in Steve's mind. Steve doesn't "settle" or consider anything "good enough".... he goes for perfection.

Steve came exactly when he said to offer a proposal and also when he said to complete the job.

Excellent, he explained what he was going to do and why he was doing it. In the case of the shower door installation, to fit properly, he had to sand the edges of the track so it would fit perfectly into the shower stall. It was not a simple installation, but Stephen made it look that way. I would hire him again for any household repair in a heart beat. I am glad I found him and have a few more projects for him.

Stephen installed a railing for me earlier.  I liked him and the work he did so I had him estimate this larger job.  His estimate was lower than 2 others by a sizable amount.  I generally am uneasy about accepting a low estimate but because of the previous job Stephen did I decided to go with him.  I do not regret it.  Stephen 'got it' that at this point we just needed something functional. One thing about the other 2 estimates was that they were both were going to get a door of higher quality at a higher cost which is not what I wanted and stated. I did not have a lot of money to spend on this and needed the handicapped ramp. Stephen listened to what I was saying. He took his time and put a lot of thought into what was needed.  I am very happy with the results.

I contacted Stephen about doing the job via Angie's List.  He responded quickly and said he was interested. I told him it was a small job but I needed it done soon as it was a safety issue.  His communication was excellent. He set a date and time for the install then let me know later that he would arrive around 11:00 a.m. instead of 8:30 a.m. which was fine. He did arrive at 11:00 and worked steadily. He made certain the railing was secure as the posts were in a concrete stair and sidewalk. I believe he had to replace or install some cement anchors that had not been installed properly the first time. At any rate, the railing is up and looking good.  Stephen removed the old railing and box it had come in and cleaned up the area very nicely.  We were very happy with his work.  Very nice to deal with. I am having him quote a larger job.

We've built several home and completely remodeled another.  Good workers are hard to come by.  One has to expect delays. For the most part, Steve completed everything in a timely fashion.  There were no major delays.  He had several projects going on at the same time and was able to get this job done in a timeframe I was happy with.

He is an excellent home handyman.
