DiTorre Building and Service was started with the idea of providing quality craftsmanship, attention to detail and to prove that not all contractors are created equal. Having always lived in apartments, I was a bit apprehensive when it came to hiring a contractor to convert our garage into much needed living space. Luckily I found Nelson Torres on Angie?s List. He proved to be reliable, honest and friendly. As the work progressed, I was kept informed in advance of any changes, especially those that affected the cost. Nelson responded to my phone calls promptly and always took the time to answer my questions. I was very impressed with the attention to details and creativity in finding solutions for the various problems that arose. His workers and subcontractors were hard-working, courteous and professional. They showed up on time and cleaned up whatever mess they made at the end of each day?s work. I will definitely hire him again.

He was prompt, professional, and accurate in quoting the job. He handled everything as planned. I was kept informed about everything from when materials would arrive, to dates code inspections would take place. He even accepted my Hot Tub delivery and helped them place it in the correct place when I wasn't able to be there. Everything went as planned, to budget, and Nelson and his crew were considerate and hard working. The job was finished on time.

When he arrived he immediately noticed that the door I bought did not exactly match the depth of the wall. He told me what would be needed to make it work and how much it would be. While his crew were installing the door he went out and picked up the extra materials. The door was finished and looks good.

Nelson quoted the complete job and gave me several options. I chose to have him do the framing and the outside work and I installed the insulation, sheetrock and flooring myself. I wish I would have just had him do it all.

The job went very well. Workers cleaned up at the end of everyday. Nelson Torres always responded to my phone calls and always had the time to answer my questions. My real estate agent was very impressed with the job and is listing my house with my investment doubled.
