It was an absolute pleasure to work with Rose and Lily. They were completely reliable and professional. The company showed up on time, did the work it promised to do (very efficiently) and left the property in perfect condition. I would hire Tankworks again in a minute. I highly recommend this company.

Workmen arrived on time and job went smoothly except for one minor slip up. When installing the 330, it was tipped on end leaving a large black paint oval. The workmen did their best to remove it but did not have the necessary cleaning equipment. They did their best and all is ok. Everyone was friendly and professional. Work was done on 5/24/17 and grass is already growing.

Company was contacted to determine if there was an underground oil tank at a home we were purchasing.  After the evaluation, we received a highly-questionable, one-page report indicating the evidence found by our inspector was not indicative of an oil tank.  We reached out to Tank Works to gain more information about their assessment.  When we contacted the company, the receptionist was incredibly rude and short.  She indicated that we did not need to talk with the technician  because she could answer any question we had.  When I asked her to further explain the report she could not and told us to deal with the technician directly.   We were finally given his number.  We called twice with no response.  Upon further inquiries, we were told that we were the problem for questioning Tank Works' integrity.
We eventually brought in another tank removal company that graciously answered all of our questions and determined that our inspector was correct - there was an underground oil tank on site.  If we had relied on the inadequate report of Tank Works, we would have lost thousands of dollars.
If planning to use the company, we recommend doing your homework and getting a second opinion.

We used the company Tankworks, they remove oil tanks, the underground one. I would rate them 'A' plus all the way, yeah, they were very good. They are excavators. They did all the excavating and afterwards they planted the grass seeds and they leveled it all out, like it never happened. That's a tricky one because when they do this, they also have to do the soil testing to make sure there's been no contamination, that's part of the job. Some of them don't even level off, you are responsible for doing all the stuff. When they came in, it was neat and they just did a nice job.

Just an FYI on this company...service date was in 2007...the last straw came about a month ago when I decided to relay a buyer beware...initial estimate/contact fine...work performed quickly & on time...problems arose AFTER work done & paid for...first we find out when we tried to get oil delivered first time after work done...middle of winter...find out from oil delivery companies that they wont deliver unless someone home all day to wait for oil delivery as this was a tank removal w/ new tanks installed...no one will deliver that first time unless someone is home to watch that tanks will accept the oil...understandable, but when you both work its not an easy option to just do...plus one would think Tankworks would mention this...& also NOT give an inflated price on oil when you figure out that they are the only ones who might deliver first time when you are not home, as they did the work
second...we find out from the town that Tankworks NEVER pulled the permits with the town to do the work....turned into a fiasco getting them to pull the proper permits after the work was done....
last straw was during the torrential rain we recently had about a month ago....from having a basement that NEVER took on water the 12 years we have been here....we come home to find water coming in thru wall where they "cut" the old line etc... where oil used to come into house with old tank...they "sealed" it very cheaply...basically hardly at all...so it took just a few years to totally disintegrate & we had do redig up their work & our landscaping to properly seal off old pipe.....
just an FYI....be careful with them & babysit the job they do to avoid problems down the road...:(

They are almost the only company in town that does this kind of work. I will use them again in the future.

They are very professional.  They do what they said they'd do.  They were sometimes slow in returning calls, but they were great other than that.

We had a good experience with this company. It took a little while to get an appointment to have the tanks removed but we were in no hurry. They came when they said they would, worked quickly and charged exactly what the cost was estimated to be. Michelle, the office manager, was very helpful and professional. She provided a copy of the insurance liability policy, the license number of the individual doing the work and was flexible in terms of payment.
