Dustin and CCC did wonderful work creating a new bathroom and remodeling a bedroom for our house. What was most positive was Dustin’s energetic interest in the project, dedication to seeing the project through to make it come out with high quality, and persistently spirited good will. There were two aspects that didn’t work quite optimally: (1) The crew took much longer to finish than they promised (the original time was “1-month +” but over two months passed and there were still lingering issues---see below.) If you hire them, I recommend having it written into the contract exactly when it will start and end, including a specification of what the consequences will be if the job isn’t done on time. (2) They didn’t know what to do with our laminated wood floors. They needed to put down protection for the dining room floor which was damaged by the construction traffic, and they had trouble patching and refinishing the floor in the bedroom after removing a wall. When I asked Dustin to address (2), to his credit he was ready to bring in a floor refinishing specialist to fix the issues at a very favorable price to us. At that point, unfortunately, we couldn’t afford the interruption it would cause to have this repair done at that moment. In response, Dustin gave us a discount so we can address these issues with a profession flooring company in the future when we’ll have a good opportunity to vacate the house for this purpose. I recommend that if you need wood floor work done, you make sure there is an agreement in the contract to have somebody with wood floor expertise address that part. In all, Dustin was generous and willing to try to work with us when there were issues. I know that his company has also been generous about helping people who were in need in the past. This is a quality that I particularly admire in a company, so we still feel very positive toward CCC, but I have identified the issues we had in hopes that they won’t be issues for other clients in the future.

In Remodeling it is hard to pin down an exact finish date, especially when permits get involved because you’re at the mercy of the inspector and the town. We as a construction company would absolutely love everything to just click right in but that’s just not construction. Our job literally is to install new items on old and out of level walls and plains which is always a real challenge. In fact sometimes it’s not possible and we have to replace the wall or subfloor completely to make it happen. Furthermore, creating a bathroom out of a space that wasn’t already completely a bathroom is an intricate project. The double 2 by 12 beam we installed alone verifies the complexity. I’m sorry it took longer than expected. There’s no perfect equation for remodeling. Our job is to literally make unbelievably old houses look new again Without tearing them down and starting over! It’s quite a task. Anyhow we had an absolute pleasure building for you and would love to see you again! Take care sir."

We hired CTC Creations to renovate our kitchen after reading multiple positive reviews, and we had high hopes for the work Dustin and his team were going to do based on our initial discussions. While Dustin communicated promptly and seemed responsive to our needs initially, unfortunately right after the contract was signed and deposits paid, his initial work and behavior related to our project became very problematic… We encountered multiple issues: Not only did he take advantage of us financially related to an initial electrical project that his sub-contractor did for us (charging us over $400 an hour a simple outlet swap out), but he demonstrated a lack of knowledge on basic construction elements such as how to install a replacement window and LVP flooring, and most disconcerting, he is now refusing to return ANY of $4,000 deposit we have given him, telling us that we will need to hire him in order to get our deposit back. When we tried to resolve the issues, he refused to be reasonable and instead assessed multiple cancellation fees as well as a restocking fee for supplies he had not purchased. We are very unhappy with how we have been treated, and are disappointed with how he and his partner have refused to acknowledge any of these issues and are now inappropriately refusing to return the unused deposit funds.

"Sorry to hear about your experience. Here at CTC Creations llc we do not haggle prices on work already completed. We walk your project, bid the entirety of the job & if we come to an agreement we proceed with the agreed upon work. In addition we do not work hourly, we are not handy men. We are competitive with our pricing & work with our customers to find a price point fair for their personal install. Walking our guys around your property to do tasks that are not included on our invoice is not allowed, we do not do free work. When time, labor & material is involved it most definitely cost money to complete any & all tasks unless you & the owner of our company agreed otherwise & it is documented contractually. Per our contract we are obligated to complete your agreed upon work as well as you are obligated to pay per completed task. We are completely transparent. We work very closely with our customers to provide exactly what they want but Do Not allow the customer to change our scope of work mid project to involve a bunch of “freebies”. As far as your $4000 down payment is concerned you were pay by task. We did chimney work, design, electrical work, multiple consultations, administration work, permitting, specs for your replacement windows (which we were not contracted to do) & purchased over 3k in material all in which we provided the receipts to show purchase. We went over & beyond for you only to be terminated because we had to draw the line in the sand. Again, I am sorry for your experience & wish you a happy day."

Dusty was amazing. My home was destroyed by Hurricane Ian and he flew down after I explained what happened and what I needed done. He had to rebuild from the 2x4 out, including new plumbing. He installed drywall, sluters. He went to the tile stores with me and helped me design, from the tiles selections to fixtures and flooring. I don’t know what I would of done without him. Our area has so many so-called contractors that are sub par and thankfully going outside my state was the best solution. He is worth every penny.

This company exceeded my expectations. They installed a washer & dryer hook up in my home. A job I thought would take a week or so they completed in a weekend. Even threw in a ice maker for my fridge during the process. They are highly skilled & communicate with you throughout the job. Job went so well I recommended him to do a family members bathroom and it is absolutely beautiful. If you need some work done in your home give them a call they do great work.

I've spoken to many contractors, and either I didn't like them or did not hear back from them. Dustin came as a referral from another family member, who was impressed by his professionalism. After reviewing his work, we contacted Dustin for a free quote. He was very honest with what work needed to be done, and pricing. And as work began, we were well informed of each step of the process. Dustin showed up on time and completed work in a timely manner, cleaning up the area everyday, and making sure we were aware of everything that was done each day. Dustin is high energy, professional, and we are already preparing for our next project Dustin Wade of CTC Creations. Highly recommended.
