Shane replied to our request within 24 hours, and made the repair the next day. We weren't home at the time, and nothing was out of place when we returned, but the pool heater was back on. We received the invoice a week later, and we were pleased with the fair price. We will hire again.

This is the second time that we had Shane do work for us this year, and I should note that I initially contacted him because of his positive reviews on Angies's List, so it's fitting that I chime in. The first time, two months ago, was to install an outside light where we are putting up a new deck. I told him what we wanted done, and he explained what he could do. He was not pushy at all and did not try to oversell the job. He supplied the light, installed an outdoor switch, and fixed an inside light switch that was not working. The cost was $300, and I thought that was quite fair.

For the second job, we had him install two overhead light fixtures in our garage and got the !@# outdoor light that has not worked the last two years to work again. The fixture had no power running to it (could be related to garage door work we had done a few years ago) and he ran a cord to it and placed a switch for it as well as the outer pole light that he "restored" power.

It is a pleasure to come home and see the outside lights power up when I pull in. I am one happy customer, and I have no doubts about who I will turn to for future work. (I wish he did decks!)

There is one caveat: Shane and his crew are very busy (a good sign, if you think about it!), and it was not always easy to schedule something. For us, this was not an issue, and it turned out that the first time he was able to come by earlier than scheduled. Me? I wanted someone who could do good work for a fair price, and I found him. I have no reservation in giving Shane's company a ***** rating.

Because of a very positive experience when we first found Maximum on Angies List, we insisted the builder use Maximum.

Again the experience met our high standards and the cost was within the allowance provided by the builder.

The builder was also impressed and added Maximum to his subcontractors.

Shane answered my initial call promptly, was very responsive and friendly. He was punctual and efficient when coming to my house to provide a quote. Later when scheduling the work to be done, he was flexible. He called and was apologetic when he was called out of town for a family issue at the last minute and the men working for him who came to complete the work were professional and completed the work efficiently with little mess.
I would definitely call him again.

There were some items learned on inspection, some discovered later. For appt to evaluate work needed and for work day, Shane was prompt, courteous, and professional. Day of work, he brought two additional team members so the work was done quickly yet thoroughly. I was very pleased and have already scheduled him for additional work in our home.

Service was fast, responsive and professional. We had a defective heater that went on the fritz. Shane came right away, looked at it and assessed that getting a new heater would be cheaper than trying to repair the old one. He phoned and got the price immediately then said he would come by in a couple of days with the new one, which he did. He charged exactly what he said he would. For a small repair job this was perfect service

Great job and worked with us on a budget. I was able to spread out the work to match the pacing of our remodel. Very flexible with our schedule and usually were able to come the next day after a contact. We would highly recommend to anyone.

Maximum Electric and specifically Shawn Tanner and his employees acting as subcontractor to our primary contractor, performed electrical wiring services involving a small re-partitioning of an existing space on the first floor of our home in Branford. Partitions had been framed and walls exposed to allow connections of new wiring with our existing electrical system.
Mr. Tanner and his employees consistently failed to follow written instructions or ask us for our preferences in completing various sub tasks resulting in project delays or additional expense. Examples include but are not limited to:
1) Failure to install/repair bathroom fan requiring project delays and revisits by Maximum Electric employees. Required additional expense to correct after completion of bathroom.
2) Failure to install bathroom fan switch requiring revisit by Maximum.
3) Failure to ask about overhead lighting placement, requiring removal of fixture.
4) Incorrect placement of switch box requiring removal.
5) Placement of electrical breaker panel in closet in non-compliance with electrical code. Had to be moved to another room.
6) Incorrect wiring of breaker panel supplying 240 volt to an outside connection box for future air conditioning. Required deployment of a second electrician at our expense to correct the issue.
7) Incorrect labeling of sub panel circuits requiring our electrician to provide corrections..
8) Failure to connect CO detector to our monitored alarm system.
9) Failed to ask us about under-counter lighting. Replaced at our expense.
In general, Maximum worked in a piecemeal fashion, sometimes not showing up for weeks.

"My name is Shane. - To the customer-[member name removed]. Some details of the job did not go as smooth as you wanted. For this, I apologize. I, nor any of my crew, enjoy a job that the customer is unhappy with. I take pride in making my customers happy and satisfied. (As you can see from my reviews). Sometimes, nothing will satisfy a customer. Each issue you mention has "there's another side of the story" scenario. We tried, at great lengths, to complete the job in a timely and professional manner. [member name removed] knows this. I continue to work with the general contractor and we continue to have "Happy Customers" , just not this one."

Shane and Dave came out to do an initial quote and inspection of a few punch list items from our recent home purchase. While there, they worked fast on identifying issues, and surprisingly, resolved a few just in the course of their "investigation". When they were done, Shane gave me a thorough explanation of what he had found, what they had already fixed and what further items needed to be done. On the further work, he did not push anything on me, simply stating the fixes that should be done sometime down the road in the interest of general safety. The guys were friendly, but plenty professional and certainly a great provider for the money. I will definitely call Maximum electric again.

I got estimates from 3 companies. Shane's estimate was about the same as the others but I was just so impressed with how personable and accommodating Shane was, that we chose Maximum Electric to do the work. We are very, very glad we did. Every single person on his team is so professional and responsive. Our schedule is tough because we do not live in the house yet. But they were so flexible about coming when we could be there. We left all the details of changing the lighting in the kitchen to them and it is great. I cannot state enough how wonderful is has been to work with them.

I'd hire him again and recommend him without reservation. He was prompt, bright, engaging and capable. This job was a very small one but I have no doubt the overall worth ethic Shane demonstrated in response to my request is the way he approaches every project. He's a winner!

I needed to have an Electrician install a expensive monorail lighting fixture for my kitchen. It took three hours two people. The lighting came out looking great. Shane and Jay from Maximum Electric were fun to watch and very careful to get it installed professionally.

Thanks to Angie's list I had made the right decision to hire them. I have not seen the bill yet but he said it was sixty dollars an hour.

They were here for three hours so around $180.00 for the job. If you need an Electrician and you live around Madison, Ct. you will not be disappointed if you hire Maximum Electric for the job!

Shane was prompt, polite, friendly, bright, and he did an outstanding job with the installation. I had a previous estimate for the same work that was over $6000 including purchase of the generator. Shane suggested that I purchase the generator and transfer switch myself online and call him once I had it. He then came in quickly and did the installation. The total cost was just over half of what I was quoted by the other company. The other company also wanted to run wires on the outside of the house and foundation, while Shane suggested the much neater solution of hiding the wiring by running it inside the garage wall through to the switch in the basement.
Shane is a delightful person to work with and his cost was exactly in the middle of the range he quoted me. He is an extremely practical person and had lots of excellent tips to reduce long-term costs involved with generators.
I will be calling Maximum Electric for all electrical projects in the future.
