Ed is a pleasant fellow who seems to love his work. The problem is that he is not very good at it. Ed had to return a few times because the jobs he did didn't turn out the way he anticipated or promised. For instance, we had a spot on our kitchen ceiling where there had been a leak from upstairs. The taping was showing. Ed applied new "mud" and then sanded it. He said the mud was "special" and would dry invisible. It dried gray. Ed had to come back and then painted the area and said that when the paint dried, it would be invisible. He used an eggshell or semi-gloss on a ceiling that was originally painted with flat paint so it stands out like a sore thumb. Now we have to repaint the entire ceiling. Ed also put caulking around our shower doors so they wouldn't leak. They leak in one small spot. We also had a cabinet ready to fall off in our kitchen. Ed glued and reinforced it with brackets. The entire cabinet fell off about 6 weeks later! We had to pay almost $400 to have the entire cabinet rebuilt at a kitchen and cabinet remodeling shop and then paid them to rehang the unit.
