Dr. Z was always very compassionate and caring and did all that could be done to treat my dog's condition and make her comfortable as her condition progressed. I was also very appreciative of the compassionate and caring attitude of the veterinary assistants and the office staff that was extended to me during each visit I always felt that my dog was receiving excellent care during each visit and I was being educated on how to care for her at home. I do not feel that my dog would have received any better care from any other veterinary hospital. When the final day came and it was time to put her down we were given time to say our goodbyes to the best pet that we have ever had and everyone at the office was so helpful in getting us through this difficult time. There is not doubt that should I decide to get another dog someday we will again turn to Dr. Z and his staff to care for our pet.
Thank you Dr. Z.

So far we've been extremely pleased with Dr. Z and his staff. He is out first vet in the area so I can't compare him to others here, but compared to vets we've had in Texas and New York, I was pleased and surprised to see how much time he spent with us talking about our dog. He patiently and thoroughly answered all of our (sometimes extremely dumb) questions. Even when we asked whether we needed to have and quot;those weird black moles removed from his bellyand quot;, at which point Dr. Z smiled and pointed out that those were his nipples and it was probably a good idea to let our dog keep those. He has a very kind and gentle demeanor and he seems to take a real interest.
The hospital itself is a converted barn on the green in Lebanon. Very charming. The facilities may not be the newest, but you can tell the hospital has been well maintained. What really makes this the best vet we've dealt with is that when something goes awry with our giant, goofy dog (for example if we've found a suspicious tick, or the dog is throwing up incessantly in the car, or his paw has swollen to twice its size for no apparent reason, or he's eaten something weird—all real examples) then we can call Dr. Z's office and ask him what to do. And for the most part we'll get a remedy over the phone. This just saves us from driving all the way to Lebanon and also from paying for appointments we really don't need. What an excellent vet!
