Gkeason Electric has performed services for me for many years. His work is of the highest quality. He does large jobs and small, from whole building new construction wiring or hanging a light fixture.The cost, which varied on what he was asked to do, varied and the dates of recent work here are approximate because I couldn't be exact, as far as I know the personnel hasn't changed, so one year or three years is immaterial. His charges are in line with other local electricians. John, the third generation owner of the company returns calls promptly,usually assesses jobs himself and can be counted on to explain to the owner what to expect. His number two man is as qualified an electrician as he is. He has never sent a trainee alone to do the work, although he has employees who help under supervision.

We just had a horrible storm in Connecticut last October and we just went without power. And this guy showed up. He is so great. All my wires were ripped down and my electrical box outside the house was really ripped off the house. The trees took everything out. I give them an A for everything. I would absolutely use them in the future.

Very competent in properly concealing wiring, installing boxes, knowing where and where not to run wiring. Worked hard and worked smart when encountering unexpected challenges. Finished installation works excellently and looks great. Contractor is a small firm - typically a customer deals directly with proprietor, although he also uses hired assistants. Contractor communicates intelligently and directly.
However, contractor would not commit up front to a dollar estimate for the entire job. Initial rough estimate of $700 was to include significant work concealing other wiring running conspicuously on house exterior. Job still cost $700, but contractor didn't do this second part because, he said, the main job took longer than expected due to unforeseen circumstances, and that I added work (which I did) having him assess a non-working exterior light (household switch was turned off). I was disappointed with this, but impressed enough with his work overall that I would invite him back for future work.
