John did an excellent job of grinding a really big, really tough, old cherry tree stump. In fact it was YUGE! I originally rented a stump grinder from Home Depot and, yes, that was a YUGE mistake. It would have taken me 2 or 3 days of hard work at a cost of easily $500. I quit after about 2 hours and called Cliffside to schedule an appointment. John had superior equipment and did the job in an hour, give or take, for $193. I am super happy and now know how to deal with stumps - call John.

They have great machines, are very friendly, and were very reasonably priced. They went well below grade on the stumps, and were careful about keeping the chips reasonably contained. I'll be using in the future for any other jobs, no doubt. The whole job took about an hour.

This was a company we met at the Fall 2011 home show in Hartford. Since we had so many stumps to be ground they gave us a very attractive price. They were very accommodating as we did not need the work done until the spring. The job was scheduled at our convenience and completed in 1 day. I would recommend this business for people who need stump grinding performed on their property.

Called back immediately. Set up a date for early the following week. He was on time and called before he came as we requested. The job was to take out a large stump to 18 inches below the surface so I could replant in that area. The job was completed quickly and without problem. I will use this company again.

Went great - took a lot less time than I had expected. He had the whole stump gone in around an hour or so. Very cool looking machine, but I'm glad I didn't have to operate it - looks intimidating. John did an excellent job, brought tarps to contain the chips and leafblew my driveway after he was all done. He came out on a Saturday morning which worked out perfectly for me since it left me the rest of the weekend to work on the landing.

I called Cliffside first thing in the morning, because my previous contact for stump removal had not called me back and I needed the stumps removed that day because I was having landscapers come by. He was able to come by that day and take care of the stumps quickly and for a reasonable price. He was a very nice guy and even gave me an estimate for a stump in the backyard as well. If I do have that stump removed, he would probably be the guy to do it.

They are very good as far as stump removal is considered. It was actually a bigger job than I expected, but they didn't charge us more. They were very easy to work with. It now looks like there was never a tree there. I would hire them again if I have any more trees to work on.

Cliffside did just fine with everything. They returned all of my phone calls and they showed up on time. I thought that they were also very reasonably priced. I have no complaints with them at all.
