They made the nightmare of a flooded, mildewing, molding basement go away.
Description of Work: Basement was flooded by water heater twice in three days. Service masters were great, came in and disposed of all the water, moved everything to sanitize the floor and walls, put everything up on pallets, took away all the wet, moldy cardboard and other items past saving. Folks came out four times over ten days to set up air scrubbers and dehumidifiers, give them time to work and returned to pick up the equipment

They were very good and were here every day, trying to dry up the fountain and mitigate the damage. ServiceMaster people were wonderful and I have no complaints about them. They were absolutely wonderful they were here every day and worked as hard as they could to get the ceiling and walls dried out. There was nothing bad about them and they were very good. After two weeks of their work, they gave up and said the kitchen floor itself had problem between the layers, so they have to remove the floor but, in order to do that it had to be stuffed with asbestos. So they did the asbestos test and decided to transfer the job to a different branch of ServiceMaster because the present ServiceMaster did not have any connection with the specialist people.
Description of Work: I had used Service Master of Hartford. I had a water lake in the house and ended up to the total cost probably $ 30,000 worth of damage and I started my insurance told me that to start with ServiceMaster and they were here within hours trying to dry everything out. trying to dry everything out. They came in and brought two dehumidifiers and blowers a pair of these upstairs in the kitchen and a pair downstairs in the rack room and tore out part of the basement ceiling in their effort to try and get everything dry and then trim down a portion of the wall of the basement rack room and a portion of the ceiling to try and get the blowers in, trying to dry the ceiling above.

Between the two companies that part of the job took a week. They were wonderful. They have finished their job a week ago. Besides being the main contractor to finish taking down whatever was needed to be taken out. The rebuild part of the job was under their name Kapura builders, but from what I understand its the same business with ServiceMaster. So ServiceMaster hired Kapura builders as subcontractors. The ServiceMaster portion of the jobs itself, both of them was excellent. There were a lot of different people that came each day but, they came in and did what they had to do. They were professional and they were neat. I have no complaints with any of them. ServiceMaster and Kapura builders are separate people but, they work together in the same offices, the same building called Kapura builders and this branch of ServiceMaster covers a different area more Western parts on Cooke Street and they had an association with the business that would do the removal of the asbestos so they hired a company by the name of zero hazard to do the asbestos removal. So ServiceMaster acted as the contractor and also hired zero hazard. It was all a one-day job, they sealed off every exit from my kitchen and put some contraption over the door to suck out all the air from where they were working and took up the floor but they did not take out the cabinets at that point, first they took up the floor because that's what they were told to do and when they finished and had a look, they said you know we think the cabinets should not have been taken out so we could take out the floor under the cabinet because the flooring looks wet. So they had to come back for another half days work a week after.
Description of Work: I had used Service Masters for taking out the cabinet so then the zero hazard people could come out and do the last bit of floor removal. So ServiceMaster just worked on the water damage in getting rid of anything that was damaged from water; like taking out the wall, taking out the ceiling.
