Avoid this company after problems arose with their work they failed to show to look at the problem or clean my chimney on three occasions without even a call. I am going to file a complaint with small claims as my chimney is unusable after their work.

We were unaware of the seriousness of the problem with our old chimney. Crumbling tiles were starting to block the exhaust from the burner. Safe Way came the morning after we called for a chimney inspection. Their rapid response included diagnosing the problem and fixing the problem in the same visit! I couldn't be happier with Safe Way.

Absolutely horrible. They charged me $1500 to put a band-aid on my chimney in the form of stucco, which isn't even stucco but cement slapped on by a chimney sweep with no masonry skills. The office confirmed the tech they sent, Jimmy, is in fact, not a mason, so not sure why he showed up to repair a damaged chimney, if he is not qualified for that level of masonry. If it cannot be done, fine, but say so before you throw cement onto the the brick chimney of an 1800 cape cod. After the fact, they say if I don't like it I'll have to rebuild for an additional 5500 (we could have agreed on that from the beginning if I had been given the option). Worst part? The band-aid job is not done right according to inspector, must come down. THEN I had a real mason cone out and quote me 2100 for the rebuild that Safe Way wanted 5500 for on top of their 1500 screw up. THEN I'm supposed to be charged via my payment method with HomeAdvisor, but good ole Jimmy needed a check . Total rip-off. I would not recommend these clowns to anyone. The new cap looks fine.

"This is an extremely unfair review. You called us for an estimate after another company had already told you that your chimney was not in good condition and needed repair. When our technician arrived you said you were too sick to come out of bed and you sent your husband. Our technician Jimmy told your husband the two options we can offer are either rebuild from the roofline up or Stucco the chimney. Our tech explained everything in detail to your husband and then your husband went inside and explained everything to you, and then you gave the OK to do the work. You did not bother to come outside until 5 minutes after our truck pulled away."

Make your own decision but here are some facts I had a working fireplace used daily. Hired Safeway to clean the chimney. They cleaned the chimney and alerted me the damper was damaged. After their visit, my previously functioning chimney was blocked and unusable. I called multiple times to have them address the issue they clearly made worse. Three times I was told, we will call you. No callback, I fully expect I would have to pay for any existing problem, but they took no responsibility for the damage they made worse. Their generous offer was a free estimate for new work - from a company whose website says they do not charge for estimates. Make your own decision but choose wisely.

Project: Install stainless steel chimney liner. Company was great to work with from making an appt to having the installers (Raymond & Brian) on site. The only minor snafu: on the day they were coming to make an estimate, they were 1-1/2 hrs late beyond "the 2 hr window" but I wasn't informed of the delay until I called the office. A call would have been appreciated after having to wait for 3-1/2 hrs. Otherwise, all went according to plan and their technical expertise was very helpful and spot on.

In the 40 plus years we have used wood and coal we have gained some knowledge. We were told an estimate would be given .What we got was sales pressure to buy, buy, buy. The work that was done was damaging. Would not have them in my house again.

We had Raymond come and give us an estimate to install a liner for our furnace chimney he was extremely professional explained everything perfectly from the anatomy of the chimney to how the chimney works and why the work needed to be performed. He installed the liner the next week with a beautiful custom size copper cap. He also fixed our fireplace the smoke chamber that had deteriorated he parged it with smoktite they did such an amazing job our fireplace has never worked better. He was extremely neat he left areas he worked in cleaner then when he got there I am so unbelievably impressed with Raymond and Bryan I would recommend Safe Way Chimney to any person ask for Raymond he will not disappoint you this young man went above and beyond for us I am so happy I chose them thank you!

The company did an incredible job of our fireplace insert install. They arrived on time and prepared the area well. They took care to protect furniture and floors. Our install was tough given size of liner and a few other things but they very methodically made it work. Brian and Jimmy were fantastic. Highly recommend them!
