It was long time ago, I was relatively pleased with them, and that is all I can say.

We have radiant heat with a boiler. They responded very quickly. They came and took care of it and took care of the problem. They have a high quality of work.

After installing a new air conditioning unit with Kennedy's in 2011, I had repeated failings of the unit in two years.  Last year they replaced a part at the beginning of the season and when it failed again to operate this year on start up they didn't call me back, wouldn't send someone out and were extremely rude to me on the phone when they did answer.  When they finally sent  and employee out they repaired it three separate times before realizing there was a recall on the part that needed to be replaced.  Their inefficiency is obvious, but their rudeness was by far the most disturbing element.  Customers who spend thousands of dollars should always be treated as if they are valued.

We had four bids and they were excellent. They were very fast and very efficient. They were very clean and cleaned up after themselves. They were very polite and explained everything. I would use them again and recommend them.

I recently contacted this company because a shower valve they installed at the time of the original remodel was leaking and they OUTRIGHT LIED and told me the fixture had been discontinued and that parts were not available and they could replace the whole fixture to the tune of $650-$700.  I did some research on my own and found that the fixture was NOT discontinued and that it had a lifetime guarantee!  The company sent me a replacement part FOR FREE and gave instructions on how to repair it OURSELVES.  The fixture is working again and cost me NOTHING to fix.
This company renovated the main bath and added a master bath in my home seven years ago.  The plumbing all worked, but the quality of the finishing was horrible.  When they did the tiling in the first bathroom they never asked about grout or grout color and so I wound up with white grout in between slate look tiles.  The grout lines in between the tiles were way too big in the bargain. It looks awful.  In the same bathroom the design they applied in the center of the shower wall had the tip cut off of one of the top tiles because it wasn't lined up properly.  When asked what could be done we were told that we could buy all new tile and then rip out the first, but that would add to the cost of the job. The tiling in the second bath was done by someone different and it came out much better, although the floor tiles in that bathroom came loose and had to be redone.  Thankfully we had extra tiles for that job.  The floor tiles in the master bath floor were uneven and the grout became loose and fell out and it also had to be redone. They did send someone out who relaid several of the tiles, but the tiles in that bathroom are still not level. I would not use this company again and I would not recommend them to anyone else.

The worker, Kennedy's sent, was a friendly man, but as I discovered, he did a horrible job. I hired him to clean the boiler and inspect for any problems. He discovered there was a crack around the flue pipe so I agreed to pay him to patch it. Later that day, I had another company come to clean the chimney. Because the chimney vents through the same pipe, he inspected the work Kennedy's did. Because the patch had not set yet, he looked at the flue pipe (which was many years old) and noticed it had deteriorated to the point that there was a risk of a gas leak. He took the pipe out and showed it to me and he was right. He replaced the pipe and repatched it. I emailed Tim Kennedy, the owner, and included a copy of the defective pipe. I have to give him credit as he called me back, but he refused to refund the money for fixing the patch and did not accept responsibility for what happened. I did not do a review after this interaction so you may be wondering why I am doing it now. The gas boiler broke down last month because a valve stopped working. Why? According to the company that came to fix it, it was because the part was very dirty as was the entire interior of the boiler. When I said it was cleaned in May 2012 they told me that whoever cleaned it did an awful job. They reclean it for me. So as it turned out, I paid Kennedy's to clean the boiler and fix a crack and they did neither well most likely resulting in the boiler breaking down in the middle of winter.

They work excellent. They came on time every morning and were very polite. They were very neat and cleaned up after themselves after the end of every day and worked in a timely manner and were very good. ‘A’s across the board and we would use Kennedy's Plumbing and Heating again in the future.

I had a leaky 2nd floor shower drain. They had to cut open the kitchen ceiling in order to cut out and replace the leaky drain. There were 2 techs who described what they planned to do, provided me an estimate on the spot and completed the job in a timely fashion. They cleaned up after themselves, even disinfecting the kitchen due to the spills created when the old drain was removed. I would use them again.

Monday, January 12, 2009 we called at 8:00am for this company to come out. They showed up at 2:00pm. The oil burner was off from Sunday, the 11th about 10:00pm. The house by 2:00pm was at least 40 degrees or colder. They were here from 2:00pm-2:30pm. We have two children, one which was 7 months old at the time. My husband didn't know what to do, so when they told him the price of $425.00 he signed the form to have the work done. We were concerned for our childrens well being and hoped our pipes would not freeze. That night we called Tim Kennedy, to ask what he was charging us for the part and the half hour of labor; he didn't answer and hung up on my husband. We stopped payment on the check. A week later they wanted their money. We did some research after and found out that the job should not have cost more than $250.00. After trying to call the company to settle with them, we got no response. We sent them a check for $250.00. They cashed it. Here we are, the beginning of April. The compnay is taking us to small claims court. For the amount of $465.00. We tried to settle again on April 9th. We said we would send $175.00. He said no, he wanted $250.00, which includes the court fee and the returned check fee. Tim Kennedy was verbally hostile and argumentative. He hung up on me, saying that he would not accept any money and he would see us in court. During this time we did contact our state department of consumer protection and the attorney generals office. He was not happy of course. He was being so nice as not to sue us for the fees or "face" that he incurred with them. As citizens/taxpayers we have every right to question when we feel that we were taken advantage of. If he was an honest business man, he would have tried to work things out. As an added bonus, his advertisement says: 100% satisfaction. At this point we don't want any other customers to get taken advantaged of. When you are in our type of situation it is hard to do research or find a reputable and honest company.

Came one day late. Inspected unit, said motor needed to be replaced, and had my wife sign contract for $725 before doing repairs. I arrived as work was completed and recognized the charges were exorbitantly high. When I questioned the workman, he admitted he had worked just one hour, but said "that was the price Mr. Kennedy liked to charge." I later called many other A/C service providers, and all quoted me approximately $360 for the service work on the Kennedy bill. When I called the Kennedy number and asked for a quote, I also was quoted $360. I asked to speak to Mr. Kennedy who said nobody except him was authorized to give estimates. I asked for a time and material invoice, which he refused to provide. Since my wife and I are in our 70's, I feel that his company is purposefully overcharging the elderly. According to many discussions with an attorney at the Department of Consumer Protection, there have been many other similar complaints.

I called several plumbers and they refused to do the work. This company was aware of the entire situation and got everything done very quickly. I was very pleased with them and I would recommend them to other people as well. I think that they were friendly and very knowledgeable.
