We initially went with Highland to redo our driveway because they seemed detail-oriented. They said they would slightly pitch our driveway to keep water away which was a major reason we went with them and not companies that provided more affordable quotes. However, they didn't follow through on giving the driveway enough grade and now we have a spot in the driveway that has standing water when it rains and an ice patch in cold weather. Right after they completed the job I made them aware of the issue and they said they would address it. However, they did not. When I followed up with them they didn't return my phone calls and after cashing the check we never heard from them.

Awesome, spectacular job. Dennis, Antonio, and the crew were punctual, and certainly knew what they were doing. Antonio and the crew take alot of pride in their work. One guy spray pained a piece of the gutter which needed attention. The base was exceptional when compared to other jobs around town - well packed. Other bases around town are loose and quite sloppy looking, put down by other contractors. The price was not the lowest, nor was it the highest. Job was paid in full when complete. The crew spent alot of time on driveway prep and worked well together as a team. Highly recommended.

I called Highland Paving & Construction, LLC, and owner, Antonio, at the recommendation of a very particular and fussy friend who hired Antonio after interviewing several paving contractors to install a custom driveway. She was very impressed with his work and price. I relied on her due diligence and hired him to install a driveway at my home (cost $2,550 - 695 sq. ft.) and one at my rental property ($3,750 - 1054 sq. ft). I needed a good contractor because the driveway at my rental property was in very poor shape and needed a lot of extra fill and grading to properly fix. Antonio did a great job with both driveways. He is very efficient, organized, and knowledgeable.

Everyone associated with Highland Paving was extremely professional, punctual, and knew what they were doing- from Antonio the owner, to John-Paul who quoted the job, to the crew. Their price actually came in lower than a few other quotes and the results were excellent- these guys take pride in their work. Also only contractor we contacted that took no deposit up front, full payment was at job completion.

I obtained multiple estimates for the work, and Highland's price, although not the lowest, was very competitive.  Antonio, the owner, and his company did a very good job, and he made a special effort to grade a particularly tough spot where ponding had previously occurred.  I asked that the work be completed by a certain date, and it was.  I think Antonio runs a professional operation and i felt that he wanted me to be satisfied with the work.  When completed, there was some very dark staining of the sidewalk near the apron from tracks of his machine.  I called him, and he came back promptly and power washed the stains and took care of the issue.  I recommend Highland Paving.

This is the second residential paving job highland has done for me. He was first recommended to me by a contrator that did work for years back and no longer did residential paving.
The first job was done three years ago and still looks fine. In both cases a good base was laid and they let it settle for a few months. When it came to the actual paving they regraded the surface and put down the 3 inches of asphalt that was called for in the contract. Very neat job, any damage done to the lawn was fixed without asking.

The concrete sidewalk work was subcontracted to a concrete specialist. Highland does paving and they do it well. After the sidewalk forms were stripped Highland did the backfill and grading sitework.
Communication was good, though when it came time to pave they called and asked if "tomorrow" was a good to do it. It was, but a bit more of a heads up would have made the job perfect.
