Frances Sloan Interiors

I was having difficulty picking wall paint for my open plan home. I needed to update and repaint 6 rooms on the first floor of my house. Ms. Sloan came over and assisted me with choosing a color palette of complementary colors that would flow through the living areas and kitchen. I never would have been able to do such a fantastic job of choosing colors. I reviewed the palette with my husband and mother and they are also very happy with the selections. I can't wait to get started with the painting and see my transformed house!

She was wonderful, a joy to work with, and saved me from some expensive mistakes, while always respecting my preferences. As a colorist, she is superb. The kitchen cabinets go perfectly with the granite countertops and floor. She worked within my limited budget and got me a designer discount for a furniture purchase. She hired a wonderful general contractor who showed up with one helper and worked steadily for three days until the work was complete. She also hired a painter who is an artist, who in addition to painting walls, turned my ugly brick fireplace into faux stone that no one so far recognizes as anything but real. She also saved me when the two pieces of the granite counter did not quite meet in the corner. She refused to accept it until the company replaced the ill-fitting piece. Shakespeare described her: "Though she be but little, she is fierce!" I can't remember exactly what she charged, but I believe it is less than other designers do. If you have a relatively small project and wonder if it's worth it to hire a designer, in my experience, it's absolutely worth it! I intend to hire her again soon.

She recommened us an upholsterer. She was terrific, very responsive, and very respectful. My wife would probably make up a project just to use her again.
