I have several large trees on my property that are being well maintained by their arborist. They keep them in good shape while spreading out the cost over several years. They are also doing a great job orchard shaping/prunning my four fruit trees.

Could not be happier with the service. Price was very fair, and the professionalism was unmatched. Would absolutely hire again (and probably will)

Very smoothly. They responded quickly and came to give me an estimate within a few days despite being a busy time of year. There was a considerable amount of old wood that needed to be removed from the back of the property, and now the space is open for a garden and looks terrific. Cam was particularly knowledgeable about what to trim and what to remove, I appreciated his input. Crew was professional and neat, and the work was done on time

This is a very impressive company. The first person to come and evaluate, Mr. Warringer, was precise and detailed and reassuring. When the crew came, they were efficient, pleasant, and obviously very experienced. All the limbs were removed, and I feel much more secure now.

Arrived on time. Crew worked efficiently on a very hot day. Completely followed my requests/instructions. All debris removed. No damage to house or connecting communication and power lines. One minor issue, exhaust on branch grinder smoked excessively, unit should be better maintained. Crew appeared to minimize its run time to limit exhaust, which helped.

They did an excellent job and were very professional and experienced.

They are great. I have used them for 30 years now. My hemlocks are still there. They take good care of everything. They let you know that they are here, they put an sign out and everything. No complaints, even when I forgot to pay them. They do what needs to be done. They are very helpful.

Went as planned.

This is the second time I have used The Care of Trees in Hamden. I used their services about 4 years ago when they removed several shrubs and trees in preparation for the painting of the exterior of my house. At that time, I had a magnolia tree that another lawn person had told me was dying. However, after consulting with Peter , he recommended  some injections (nutrients). My tree survived! I was so impressed by the work they did that I decided I would not let anyone else cut or work on my trees. I recently contacted them again to have my very large beech tree pruned and cut back away from the fence and the back of the house. Peter worked very hard to get me on their tight schedule at the last minute. The team of two arrived on time, discussed what needed to be done,  proceeded to work nonstop, cleaned up meticulously and did a great job!

I'm in an urban area, and i don't have a driveway. Parking in the area is limited. They didn't do anything insuring the fact that they access from the street, the first time around. When they showed up, there were cars in the way, and they couldn't do anything. Then it got postponed due to rain. They finally got the city to post no parking for a specific day , so they came and got part of the work done, because it had been raining previously. They had to come back a third time to finish the rest. It wasn't completely satisfactory, but eventually they got the work done. They could have been a little more organized.

I think this is a vey professional, experienced company. I highly recommend them. they are not cheap but they are the ones to call if there is any danger that property may be damaged.

Since we live in the city of New Haven,getting all the equipment in place was quite an operation. They had a very lage crane that transported all the tree limbs and trunk sections over the roof of the rental house. The man in the bucket truck would tie each limb he was going to cut to the crane. The limb would be whisked to the ground where a crew of men would put the whole limb through a chipper. The whole operation took about 2 hours. Eveyone worked together in a concerted and professional manner.The yard was raked and any small tree limbs were were picked up. The only thing left behind was the saw dust in my hair. The trunk was 38 inches across. I was amazed at how quickly and effortlessly the whole process was.

Called them up, Peter was able to come out on the following Saturday monring to meet us and look at the tree.  Friendly  professional and no pressure on us to buy services from the company.  He recommended an application of fertilizer which was carried out during the following week.

I contacted The Care of Trees to get an estimate to trim and/or cut trees in preparation for the painting of the exterior of my house. I needed to get this work done quickly. Peter T. responded to my call immediately and came promptly the next day. We walked through the property and he carefully examined the trees. I also asked him about a large magnolia tree that had not been looking well. Peter explained clearly what he thought needed to be done giving me several options. We decided that two yews that were overgrown and resting on the house in the front needed to be removed. A large copper beech tree in the backyard needed to be trimmed as well. After speaking with Peter, I felt comfortable with what was being recommended and decided to go with The Care of Trees.  The price was a little bit higher than another estimate. However, I was so happy with the work that they did-that the extra money was well worth every penny! On the day that the work was to be done, the crew (Nick and Jose) came promptly before 8 am. Peter arrived immediately after them. He introduced them and explained to them the work that needed to be done. These guys were wonderful. They were very professional and courteous. They worked for about 5 hours nonstop. They cut down the two trees and beautifully trimmed the large beech tree in the back. They chipped all debris and removed everything leaving the grounds clean and neat.  I recommended them highly and I will not hesitate to use them again. 

A team of workers showed up first thing in the morning, were very polite, and were very thorough in pruning upper, lower, outer, and inner branches. The company did an excellent job reshaping the tree and left the yard in perfect shape. Not a single twig or branch was left behind.

They somehow managed to kill our poison ivy without killing our myrtle. They trimmed our trees quickly, collaboratively, and with a minimum of noise (a real plus in a crowded, urban neighborhood like ours). When they were done they cleaned up spotlessly. Our house shares a driveway with seven other houses, so we can only fit one truck at a time behind our garage without blocking our neighbors. When the Care of Trees crew were forced to return the next day for an unscheduled third visit to complete their work, we ourselves had a Home Depot truck back there full of 3000 pounds of paver base and garden shed. Their six-person crew volunteered to unload it all for us, so we could get the Home Depot truck out of there and make room for their chipper. What would have taken us several hours of hard labor, their men polished off in about twenty minutes! They then went on to fell the big old birch tree that hugs our house without disturbing the cable TV lines, our roof, or our neighbor's roof. They went above and beyond to get the job done, and we will never use any other tree service.

Everything was great. They were professional and friendly.

Their prices were competitive and reasonable. They were very pleasant and were on time. They cleaned up well when they were finished.

Everything has gone well. I did not compare prices so I could not rate that. I am happy with their work and will use them again.

THEY ARE VERY WELL INFORMED AND KNOWLEDGEABLE IN THEIR FIELD. THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AT EVERYTHING THEY DO. THEY MAKE MY TREES LOOK WONDERFUL AND HEALTHY. I AM GLAD I CHOSE THIS COMPANY.
