I had a very negative experience at Spring Glen Vet. Dr. Magliula said my cat had a heart murmur, high blood pressure, and an enlarged heart. He also strongly urged a $750 cardiology consultation to determine treatment for the enlarged heart. The consultation revealed that my cat didn’t have any of the conditions diagnosed by Dr. Magliula. The cardiologist said the false positives were likely caused by stress, which made sense to me since I had specifically told Dr. Magliula (when he said she had a murmur) that my cat had been very agitated in the car. He changed the subject, then advocated for the test whose results incorrectly indicated her enlarged heart. He later prescribed medication based on a blood pressure check done under clearly stressful conditions, which led to a falsely high reading. Obviously, I wish I had trusted my gut about the murmur and left right then. Remaining was an expensive and anxiety-provoking mistake.

Dr. Mags and the staff are attentive and kind. They always try to assist and make an appointment work for their clients. The vet techs are knowledgeable. Prices seem fair. Most recently Dr. Mags did surgery on our Samoyed at the Central Animal Hospital. I was pleasantly surprised at the cost. He did not overcharge in any way. My husband and I would definitely recommend this practice.

Dr. Mags and his team are fantastic. Hands down the best vet clinic we have had. Our dog is not easy. Nonetheless he was quickly made to feel at ease, resulting in a low stress experience for us all.

Dr. Mags and his crew are the best. He's honest, fair, reasonably priced and super knowledgeable. He's conservative in his treatment approach and will always say “in a perfect world where money is not an issue, I would recommend this or that" as far as testing goes. He gets it. If there is a human equivalent to a medicine that your pet needs, he will recommend it. Dr. Mags doesn't play on the vulnerability of the love we humans have for our pets. It’s very apparent that Dr. Mags loves animals and does everything in his power to help them. He gets right down on their level (on the floor!) to figure out what the issue is if your pet is not feeling well and speaks to and treats your pet as if they were his own. If there is such a thing as past lives, Dr. Mags was definitely a dog! I highly recommend him.

Spring Glen Veterinary Services is a wonderful community resource in the neighborhood. They're a small practice of really nice people and smart providers. They are not the modern, hi-tech kind of practice, but that is not necessary for the work that they do. They're understanding, patient, and responsive to all of our needs. Their on call-service is a little delayed, with sometimes taking till the next morning to return an emergency phone call. However, despite this, they provide good follow-up and communicate well with the local emergency vet for true emergenices. We appreciate having this resource in the community and we would not hesitate to recommend either of the vets there for routine veterinary services.

They are very good. They take you in there; they take your time. They talk about the dog's personality, and their prices are very competitive. Overall, they are excellent.

We have been very pleased with Spring Glen Veterinary Clinic. Both Dr. Cohen and Dr. Weston have proven wonderful vets for our basset hounds: gentle and calming in their interaction with the dogs, and painstaking in examining them; receptive to our questions and concerns, and thoughtful in responding to them. In this most recent visit with Dr. Weston, we especially appreciated the care she took to explain different possible causes for the symptoms we were observing, and her commonsensical suggestion that we begin with the least radical and invasive course of treatment that promised likely success. She also offered practical suggestions about how and when to administer the meds most effectively. (They have already paid off!) The cost for the visit (including medication) was reasonable; the care was first-rate.
