Provider was here about 4 times, first replacing the rubber plate, then the whole assembly, trying to adjust it and nothing he did was successful. It leaks worse now than it did before (empties in only an hour) Told me that there was a problem getting these parts for the toilet, that they were no longer made by American Standard, and that they were not guaranteed. He told me on the last visit that if that repair did not work, he would replace the assembly again, and would be charged the full price without any credit for the previous work.
I will not deal with this provider again, under any circumstances. I could have purchased a new toilet for not much more than I paid attempting to have it repaired.

They were terrific! In fact I would use them again for other issues. They were on time, they were pleasant, and it was a fair value. I went with them because of the Big Deal and they are in my area.

We contacted John and he responded in a timely manner. We were very impressed with him. He is a gentleman, very knowledgeable, came prepared with all the supplies necessary to complete the work and he worked diligently. After replacing leaking faucets and a leaking drain pipe he dismantled our toilet to fix the leak which was not an easy job. He did a superb job fixing it and bolting it to the floor and he vacuumed and cleaned up after he completed the work. We were very happy with him and would definitely call him again.

MGS has been to my house on atleast 3 occasions for different issues. The owner, John is great about getting back to you in a timely fashion. The issues were addressed and corrected at reasonable prices. MGS is my definite 'go to' for plumbing issues.

Purchased an Angies List coupon for whole house plumbing inspection and water heater flush. John was very thorough and informative on the walk through of all plumbing systems in the house. The water heater flush could not be done due to a problem with the drain, which will be addressed at a later date. The inspection revealed multiple issues for which I promptly received a reasonable quote itemizing all the tasks to be performed.
John and one other member of his crew fit me into their busy schedule within two weeks and performed all the tasks we agreed upon in an effficient and professional manner. I was immediately informed and asked to approve of any additional items required and risks involved with removing the bathtub diverter cover plate. John even stayed late to do an assessment and make recommendations for the installation of a tankless hot water heater. I highly recommend MGS Plumbing and would use them again.

"We attempted 3 times to correct the problems generated by your husband who made adjustments and replaced a flapper after our initial visit. We have returned to your residence 3 times since our initial visit, all three trips yielded the fixtures working properly while on site. I spoke with your husband yesterday afternoon and he asked me to order gaskets for the fixtures as he would have had a 5 day lead time before receiving them, I ordered and would have had them today. I had all intentions of stopping by last night following completion of my last job, until our phone conversation. The initial work was performed on Thursday, 9/19. When I made a follow-up call to you, you expressed happiness with the work and the level of professionalism received. You called on Saturday, mid-afternoon and I immediately placed you on the schedule for Monday. We came out Monday and again, went through both fixtures. They both were operating correctly the entire time we were at the property. You called again in regards to the master bath water closet on Monday night. We came out first thing on Tuesday morning supplying the correct flapper which replaced the one your husband installed. To say we have not attempted to remedy this is an understatement. We gave you the attention that most businesses would not, especially after your husband made adjustments following our initial visit. To correct your last statement, upon finding that you did not want to work with us to remedy the situation, I offered to refund you fully for the work performed on the water closets."

This concerns a recently purchased 1925 colonial with a sizable plumbing punch list. Response to my phone call from MGS Plumbing came within hours; free walk-through scheduled for within the week. The subsequent consultation generated a detailed estimate/proposal for the five projects listed above. Work was then scheduled for a week later. Two plumbers arrived on time, were polite, neat, obviously experienced at all aspects of the plumbing challenges which ensued. Appropriate additional charge of $270 added to proposal cost because of unforeseeable, time-demanding problems associated with 1st floor shower unit.
*** Hands down, one of the finest plumbing outfits I have contracted with for over 40 years. Highly recommended for company's clearly explained parameters and costs associated with the projects in advance, and its professionalism, courtesy, attention to details while on the job itself.

He has been fantastic and has done a lot of work in our house. I can't say good enough things about him. He installed our home heating system. He has replaced the boiler in our home and did a bunch of work with that. He's done some minor plumbing for bathroom and outdoor water spigots. He's done some plumbing around our washer and dryers. We've had him out for jobs ranging in $500 in labor to $10,000 plus. We've been living in the house for over 6 years now and he's been out periodically.
He is a young fella, but got all the experience in the world. He's got a crack shot group of guys that work for him and with him. They know their stuff about anything plumbing, electrical and just general. They can come out and they pull all of the permits. They are very professional and clean up after themselves. They leave it exactly the way if not better condition than when they came out to do the work. Everything that you look for in a plumber. Somebody that can come out and do the job and make sure that any mess that they make as part of the work that they do for you is cleaned up. They are very professional. Their estimates were great, right on the money. The parts and service were always with in a ballpark $50.00 plus or minus. They are just really on the money. I recognize that when you get into that kind of work, there aren't any guarantees and yet they come back and they keep it within the limits that they specified before they started the work. Nothing but good things to say about the guy. He's actually done some great work consulting for us too. We wanted to go in one direction on one job that he came out to do. He came out, took a look at the work, made some suggestions and it turned out we went with his recommendations which has actually worked out better for us. It is nice to have someone that can consult with you as well and provide you with some ideas and maybe get you thinking about the work a little differently than you had intended. And that comes with experience, I'm guessing.

Two associates showed up, evaluated the problem, replaced the leaky washer on the flush mechanism, replaced water level regulating mechanism. Was done in 30 minutes. Billed for the full hour, but the work was as promised, quick, punctual, and effective.

it went very well. He examined all of the toilets, replaced a part on one, gave tips on how to save water, cautioned what would not be helpful in trying to conserve, looked at the pipes in the basement and gave me very helpful assessments and information.

I'm pretty good at home maintenance and repairs. But sometimes, you have to call in the "pros" to take care of the more difficult or complicated stuff. When the "pros" show up, you pay more, and you expect Professional Work. Well, these guys had no trouble demonstrating their professionalism. They were great. Period. They are in my address book for all my future needs. Thanks guys.

I called this company on Monday based on two coupon offers advertised on Angies list (pipe inspection/toilet tune-up). I didn't get an immediate call back but after I called the second time, I spoke to a woman who had the owner call me right away. He seemed very knowledgeable and was pleasant to speak with. We set a tentative appointment for Wednesday/Thursday. He called me on Tuesday to set a firm appointment. There was a little confusion about time (morning or afternoon) and I expected an hour notice but only received about 20 minutes notice. Luckily, my sister was able to meet them until I arrived.
Once I arrived, I watched the two gentlemen run the water in the bathroom to try to detect leaks in the basement. They didn't detect anything. They did adjust the toilet and replace the flapper and 2 other small parts while they were there. They were very pleasant and professional.
Overall, it was a good/nice experience.
I would call them again - but hopefully I won't need to. :)

It went so smooth it was scary. Today it is hard to get someone that knows what they are doing and really takes pride in their work. John was very professional and returned my calls promptly. He moved other appointments around as ours was an emergency situation. Our one bathroom had the original plumbing in it and it was over sixty years old. He replaced the shower with a brand new one and also installed a bar for my mom who is 85 years old. He arrived on time and was actually done ahead of time. They cleaned up the whole bathroom when they were finished. They wiped down everything they could, including the floor, as they had to cut through the old wall and it made considerable dust. In the other bathroom they had to repair the shower knob. A bit of a problem as it was an old knob, but he did a professional job on that as well. He is now going to be my forever plumber. Nice to have something get done without the problems that seem to come with a lot of workers today. A1 in my book.
