They discovered more mold than anticipated and were flexible in getting rid of all of it.

Ed and his team was recommended from my real estate agent.   Ed came in and took remaining items out of the condo and brought to the dump, then cleaned the kitchen, bathrooms and wiped down the baseboards and walls.  Then finally treated the subfloor with a neutralizing agent because of a strong cat smell.  I was pleased with his overall work and we were in nearly constant communication throughout his work.  I had a feeling the job was more than he had bargained for, but he took it in stride.  The final price tag was a little higher than I had expected, but considering the circumstances I was in, it was well worth the investment.

They were terrible and I would never use them again. I don’t know what the parameters are to write a bad report because it’s been over a year since we used them. His name was Ed Ercolano. He runs the window washing service.  They were so awful. We expected him to show up that morning to wash the windows. He sent two young men, who I would say may be they were of college age group. We have a two story house and they started upstairs, which is fine. We found that they are both putting the dirty windows on our Persian carpet, and they cleaned the windows with their cleaning product on our Persian carpet, and when I complained to them about it, they just sort of shrugged. They were sitting down in our chairs, and they had thrown the pillows off on the chair, so the pillows were all around the room. They sat down to wash these windows. First of all you’ve got to put something down on the carpet, a cloth, a towel or something. We have not seen anybody washing windows sitting down like that. Then to top all up when they came downstairs I kept hearing my refrigerator door opening and closing and I walked and one of them were putting his can of soda in our refrigerator without asking. He went to the refrigerator and he was constantly, every time taking his sip, then a few minutes goes by and he goes back to the refrigerator to get a sip again, obviously to keep it cold. Then to top it all one of them broke a storm window and admits to us that he broke the window. We were waiting for Ercolano to come to collect his cheque. We told him everything about the carpets, the refrigerator, and all he did was to defend the worker. He said of course they shouldn’t have gone to the refrigerator. But basically he weaseled out of paying us to have our storm window repaired because we have never had window washers ever break a window. Our expectation was that if they break it they repair it; they pay for it and then they bring it back. But he started waffling back and forth, saying well I’ll just do the difference with you. I got quite agitated, and then he said I really want your business, I was ready to strangle him. He charged us twice as much as we usually pay, but I paid him, and he got everything. He did not take anything off his bill. I just wanted to get rid of him. I asked the boys are you going to clean the films, they brought in some kind of portable vacuum and they sort of did half part of their job. I had to mention it, and if I wouldn’t have mentioned it they wouldn’t have done that thing. Then top of that they left the wet paper towels all over the house. I had to supply them a plastic garbage bag to clean up that as they worked from room to room and they couldn’t even come with a waste disposal. The only positive thing I can say is that they came in at the time they said they would. It took them from 9:00am to 3:00pm in the afternoon to do a job that our regular window washers could do in two hours. It took them three times as long to do such a poor job. I think these kids were related to Ercolano. They could have been his kids or he could be their uncle or so. Kids these days are self centered and all they did was playing stuff on their smart phones. One of them said they rather be in the army than wash a window. It was like a punishment duty on those. The fact that he was so adamant on standing up for them; this is not the way to do business. We were new customers and I think anyone would do better.
