"This project was completed in August 2010, not January 2016. The scope of the project was to 1- Finish the basement, 2- Add a ¾ bathroom in the basement, 3- Upgrade electrical service & relocate circuit breakers, and 4- Repair exterior rot. The original contracted cost was $ 28,863. Once the work was underway and as the homeowners made changes to the scope of the project, written change orders were issued to document said changes and the associated additional costs, totaling $5614. These change orders and costs were approved and signed by the homeowner. Also clearly noted on these written change orders were cost estimates for additional work the homeowners were considering adding to the end of the project. They chose to proceed with all 3 additional quoted items and upon final billing, these items were included, totaling $2,315. There were no additional costs in this project that were not clearly documented in writing by Consider It Done and approved by the homeowners. Change orders were signed by the homeowner a full 2 months before the completion of the job. Consider It Done, LLC is extremely proud of our business ethics and have NEVER, nor will we ever add charges to an invoice that were not previously discussed with the homeowner and/or documented. After 6 years, we understand it is difficult to remember the specifics of a home improvement project; perhaps the homeowner has confused us with another contractor’s billing practices."
