What a blessing to have found this company! While I have been a local of the Hamden and greater New Haven area for 20+ years, I only recently became a homeowner and now find myself navigating the world of finding contractors and service companies that previously would have just been a call to a landlord. A friend and business colleague referred me when our air conditioner failed on one of the hottest days of last summer. Despite their busy schedule and high volume of existing customers in need, they accommodated our plea for help and had the unit fixed the same day of the call (was complications due to a mouse nest in the exterior unit). Following that, we have had multiple occasions and need for HVAC including furnace and water heater and quot;dramaand quot; (again, making me almost miss those days of conveniently calling a landlord- lol). The work service has been stellar and extraordinarily professional (unfortunately not our experience with other home service companies, and BTW - are there ANY decent plumbers left?!? LOL). The owner is careful to explain repairs, present all options, and keep us informed. he and his staff are the most respectful, clean, and organized contractors we've worked with to date (they even lay paper down everywhere they walk to ensure absolute cleanliness). Upon completion of any job, there is not a trace of evidence there was work done. All results and outcomes have been perfect and our home is comfortably cooled/heated year round. The customer service we receive when calling or in person is a welcome difference from most encounters as they are always friendly, professional, confident, and respectful; sometimes I find service reps can be condescending and short with me when explanations are necessary. The office staff is patient and kind and the service staff is highly skilled and always extremely appropriate. We are grateful to have found Conditioned Air and look forward to a long-term relationship for our HVAC needs. Others in the industry would benefit from practicing even half of the work ethic and standards this company does. It is with total confidence that I recommend Conditioned Air for all HVAC needs!

I think it went pretty well. I didn't have any concerns and complaints. I would use them again if I needed to.

Provided good advice on best type of furnace for the house. Installation went smoothly and in a timely manner. Took the time to explain how things work and answered my questions.

The job went extremely well. Tim and his guys came. He worked very efficiently and quickly to get the jo done. If I had any question, they were very well in explaining them to me. They also explained what they were doing and what they would do why. Tim did a fair quote. I feel he would work on the price if you are stuck with the situation. He stands by the work that he does. I had four people come to give me quote. Two people were from Angie's list. One was just $2000 more than him. The other guy did not spend time. Tim stayed and tried to understand how the house was set up as far as work was concerned; to see whether or not anything had to be done. He offered to do and include other things in the quote, which was replacing the registers; which no one else suggested. He hatched deck work, which other people didn't mention at all, that they would do. His price was good. I would use them in the future.

The initial install was OK, but they have TERRIBLE customer service for the year-after-year maintenance! Ahhh, beware interactions with this company. The initial install was unremarkable, but for annual maintenance phone hours are limited, they're very slow to reply to service calls, and their receptionist should (frankly) be canned. When I called today she was angry, defensive, and actually started yelling at me when I called to schedule a service appointment. (The background is that a month ago I called to say the compressor smelled like burning rubber (she told me not to worry about it at the time--which should have been a red flag--although I got the service people to come out anyway), the unit was serviced just 2 weeks ago and I was told everything was fine, and then 4 days ago the compressor died, and I've been unable to schedule another visit for them to service the machine.) She started ranting at me when I called today, so I asked her to slow down and listen, and she said "NO. YOU LISTEN TO ME!" which I found appalling from a customer service standpoint. So my compressor is only four years old, and now I may be having to buy a new one.... and they're yelling at me on top of that! Completely insane.

They were WONDERFUL! I called them and asked them to send someone out for an estimate. They got back to me quickly and sent someone out quickly. He wanted the boss to see the system to provide a better estimate. The boss got in touch with me quickly and came and gave me an estimate. We scheduled the work within a week. They came on time and did the work. It turned out to be more time consuming than they had estimated, but they completed the work and billed me for the estimated figure. Within 10 days, from start to finish, they fixed a problem that had been vexing me for a few years. Other contractors, plumbers, handymen, and gas companies had said it couldn't be fixed, but they fixed it.
