Great experience with Nutmegger Chimney Service. Mike returned my call within 24 hours and we set up an appointment. He was punctual and worked quickly and efficiently. After an initial inspection of the fireplace and chimney, he gave me the estimate to clean, which I agreed to. He was able to clean it at that time and the whole process took about an hour. There was no mess afterward. He also gave me some tips on how to use the fireplace more effectively and how to avoid down drafting. The cost was a little more than I paid in the past with a different company, but there was no attempt to sell me anything that I didn't need (like a chimney liner or a service contract). I trust Mike's honesty and appreciate the quality of he work.

Everything went smoothly. He worked diligently and cleanly. He was done in around an hour and a half. We have used their services for the past 25 years and have never been dissatisfied. He knows e burn fairly hot and clean and so he only needs to check t t every few years.

I had water leaking into basement, during heavy rain storms, from my chimney. I needed someone to install a double flute chimney cap on my 4 story tall chimney with steep roof pitch. He agreed to purchase a cap and install it for 589-. He selected a nice stainless steel cap to shield the rain. He installed it without difficulty, remortared a loose brick he found during his inspection (for free), and was happy to answer all my questions. Clean and professional. Heavy rain storm occured two weeks ago and my hearth and basement are now dry! If I require more chimney repair/work then I will call him again in the future.

Mike from Nutmegger Chimney came recommended from another provider as a good person to clean the chimneys in my colonial era house--two large fireplace flues and a furnace flue. He came and gave me an estimate for the job, then returned by appointment to actually clean the chimneys. He left the house immaculate and even cleaned up the fireplace ash for me. On that trip he noticed some loosened mortar on my chimney, happily submitted and estimate and returned to accomplish that job. I couldn't be happier with his attitude, his professionalism and his work. Happy to recommend this service and Nutmegger Chimney.
