The project went very well and my husband and I were completely satisfied with the results. John was either at our home during the renovation or a phone call away if any issues arose. He and his subcontractors (plumbing contractor, electrician, tile contractor) are all professionals and very helpful whenever we sought their advice during the project. One of his sub-contractor's even fixed a problem with our front door during the demolition process. In addition, each day they cleaned up any areas in the house where they walked. Shortly after the job was completed, we experienced a small leak in the bathroom and John came out immediately. We were having our house re-shingled at the time and discovered that when the house was built, a pipe in the bathroom had been incorrectly installed on the outside bathroom wall. The pipe was punctured during the re-shingling work and that caused the leak. Since John and his crew did not cause the problem, they did not have to help us. Nonetheless, John and our Shingling contractor worked quickly to determine how best to solve the problem at a reasonable cost. John's plumbing contractor came out immediately and installed a new pipe. John did not charge us for his extra time and problem solving, and the plumber's bill was very reasonable. We will certainly call on John for all our future projects.

This was a one-of-a-kind project, and John rose to the occasion. He prepared detailed sketches, built the dormers (3), and installed them meticulously. My house has been transformed!

The portico design itself was a challenge, made more so by our choice of materials and the need for John to work with the Historic Commission. Perfect man for the job, lots of time in the design process, a true craftsman in execution - perfect results and a show-stopper. Passersby stopping to take photos!
