Valvoline Instant Oil Change - Groton

The job was done quickly and efficiently. I have used this shop several times and found the staff friendly and knowledgeable. While as with many other places, there is some attempt to upsell, I have never felt pressured and would recommend their services.

We've used them 4 times now and they aregreat!!! fast too, and you son't even get out of your car. We used a coupon-- alwats avaiailable on line.

The staff at Valvoline are courteous and the work is done quickly. You pay a little more for the oil change but you are in and out fast. Bring a coupon to save some money, you can print them off the internet. They will always try to up-sell you, but when you say no they don't pressure you. I do change some of my cars filters on occasion when I go and the prices seem reasonable. On a trip previous to this I had an issue with my air conditioner, they tried for quite some time to fix the problem. When the couldn't fix the air conditioner, they offered advice on what other avenues of repair I could try.

So I went back a few times but this was the last time I went back because next time I did the oil change myself and what did I find, an oil filter wrench sitting inside my engine compartment, pretty well wedged and camouflaged with all the oil since its an old car, and not sure but might have drove from CT to ME with that thing in there. I am and they are so lucky nothing happend. Im pretty sure it was them but done have proof that it was but pretty sure it was. Sounds like I may be making this up but then I went to anoher oil change I think in New London valvoline and guess what, next time I do an oil change I find a magnetic pick up tool stuck to the side of the frame in the engine area as well. Another Valvoline type place either did it again or I missed it from the first one. I didnt have Angies list when this happend so Im going by memory alone, one of the two items may have been from a garage in ME but either way I drove to CT with that thing there and neither oil change place caught it altough its not tehre job I dont feel safe going to those type of places where the mecahnics arent professionals and dont seem to care about what they are doing down there. I always get or hear complaints from the guy in the bottom how difficult it is for my cars oil filter to be removed, gee thanks alot for making me feel like I ruined your day even though Im paying you for the service. And they asked if I wanted to get my transmission oil changed, thank goodness I didnt since they are sloppy and my car takes a few different steps for getting the transmission done, I learned that the hard way from doing it myself.
