It was 7pm on a very cold late November night that Eversource notified us that they were turning off our power and would not reinstate it until we had the issue with our faulty meter socket ground repaired. I called Corey from Southeast Electric immediately hoping he could come and fix it. He said that due to the fact that he would not be able to get the parts needed at that late hour, he would come out first thing in the morning. As we were desperate to get the job done quickly, we tried another local electrician who came out immediately. After an hour of fumbling in the cold, that electrician was not able to get anywhere with our repair, and we really had no confidence that he would be able to do it, so we decided to wait for Corey in the morning. Corey showed up around 8am and was able to quickly fix the issue. Whereas the electrician the night before struggled for 40 minutes trying to remove the stuck lug nut on the faulty gruond, Corey had it removed in no time at all. As it was, he had a replacement nut that worked in his truck and didn't need to get any parts. He saved the day as we were scheduled to leave for holiday later that afternoon, and had been fretting that we would have to postpone our trip. Corey is an absolute whiz with electrical issues and can fix just about any issue quickly and economically. I highly recommend him and Southeast Electric!
Description of Work: Our lights in the house were flickering. Eversource power company identified the problem as resulting from a faulty ground in the meter socket. They turned off our power and would not turn it back on until we got the problem fixed by a licensed electrician.

Description of Work: I had a question about a generator hookup - other electricians had ignored my voicemails.. Gerry picked up the phone and walked me through the process, setup, etc. All over the phone.

Description of Work: I've had Corey from Noank Electric here to do a wide variety of electrical projects, including installing new circuits, a bathroom heat fan, solving cable tv wiring issues, installing occupancy light sensors, installing new outlets. Corey is knowledgable, efficient, and professional. He works steadily, so work is completed at a reasonable cost. He is often difficult to get a hold of to schedule an appointment. I assume this is because he is very good and in high demand, but it is a bit frustrating at times. ***Update, a few months later: Tried several times via phone messages and text messages to get Corey here to do more work. Phone messages and texts were never returned. Finally, after weeks of trying, I sent a text message conveying my dismay at the lack of professionalism. Corey responded promptly to say he was having personal and professional problems and that I should look for another electrician. I wish he would have been courteous enough to provide that response weeks earlier, while I was giving him the benefit of the doubt given the great work he'd done in the past.

He was fantastic and I'd highly recommend them. He was very nice and made me understand it better than anyone ever has. He helped me fix my problem and also explained to me what it would cost if I needed to do work in the future.
Description of Work: He came out to look at the breaker because it kept tripping.
